Wedding Planning
The Habtoor Palace Dubai, V Hotel and Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City played host to the lavish 3-day destination wedding which was planned, conceptualized and managed by Rahul Kumar and his team of Vivaah Celebrations. Bringing the bride’s vision of a fairytale wedding to life, they crafted and customized every detail of the celebrations to perfection for an experience that would dazzle their guests and leave them with spectacular memories.
Wedding Functions
Puja
The festivities kicked off with a Puja and Behrana ceremony. Spiritual singing by traditional folk artists commemorated the auspicious occasion, marking a memorable start to the 3-day affair.
Mehndi
The following morning began with a colorful and chic Mehndi Lunch. An immersive tunnel with a canopy of dreamcatchers and other traditional ornaments welcomed the guests leading them to the Indian Kitsch Art Photobooth. Interactive artists such as the bangle maker with cart and setup, the peanut maker, the paan wala and many others, made the experience truly unique and unforgettable for the guests. Vibrant cocktails and coolers added to the enjoyment of the guests as they grooved to lively music by Dj Nitesh.
Engagement
The Engagement cocktail was planned as a Bollywood Oscars themed extravaganza that left everyone awestruck. Illuminated posters of the couple, as well as a red carpet media wall, greeted the guests as MC Abhijeet interviewed them for a celebrity experience. Large trophy sculptures were displayed throughout the pre-function area. A beautiful fairy light dance floor and a stage lit with lightbulbs set a whimsical tone, while elegant centerpieces with trophies, clapboards, movie reels and more, infused the magic of Oscars into the setup. At the end of the ballroom, a giant immersive gold bar counter with sparkles, shimmer and the couple’s hashtag served mind-boggling molecular cocktails and concoctions. The evening began with the couple’s romantic reveal from the balcony as they exchanged rings, a magnificent sight straight out of a Bollywood movie. The duo then came down and joined the audience for the high-energy Sangeet performances. Their Engagement was commemorated by a spectacular cake and the popping of champagne as they danced the night away with their loved ones.
Wedding
The Wedding day began with pujas and ceremonies, followed by the baraat. Led by a procession by the Royal Brass Band, the groom came down the hotel’s grand pathway in a stunning vintage car to a king’s entry. The bride entered walking under a lovely red phoolon ki chaadar that matched her red Sabyasachi lehenga. The celebration was innately royal in every way.
Reception
The Grand Reception was an ethereal occasion akin to a fairytale grand ball from Cinderella. Dazzling in her gold gown, the bride enacted the classic glass-slipper moment with her dapper groom wowing their guests, and then arrived in their white horse carriage. The duo cut the towering 5 layer cake with a sword and popped the champagne inaugurating the champagne tower amidst fog, sparkle and other spectacular effects following it up with their first dance. They later invited the remaining couples to join them on the dance floor to recreate the ballroom dancing scene on their favorite romantic song. As the night progressed, the tempo was turned up by Walter Scalzone, a renowned percussionist, who gave the guests an unforgettable experience with his champagne performance with water drums.
