Namrata and Jai, Le Méridien Jaipur Resort & Spa, Jaipur
Namrata and Jai's Jaipur wedding was resplendent with rich colors and ravishing decor that included quirky elements such as origami birds and embroidery hoops.
Bursts of colors and beautiful blooms arranged artistically made Jai and Namrata’s wedding in Jaipur a picturesque affair that was planned by WeddingSutra Favourite Shana Namrata Events. Here, bride Namrata shares some highlights of the fun festivities.
How We Met
“Jai and I met through a traditional arranged marriage setup and spoke over the phone for a few months before we decided to meet. This was followed by a few more official and secret meetings. Seeing each other felt so good that we thought that we might as well do it all life long. Therefore, we made it official and have been on a joy-filled roller coaster since!”
Wedding Venue
“We were looking for a place that was convenient for both of us. I was looking for something in Rajasthan since I always wanted to get married in the state to which I belong and Jai wanted a place which had direct connectivity from Muscat and Dubai because most of his family is based there. Le Méridien Jaipur Resort & Spa was the property we locked down because it just felt right. It is a small resort with 110 rooms. We were expecting 200 guests so we thought it would be wonderful to have the whole property to ourselves. Additionally, the property is very green and is away from the hustle bustle of the city which was a big plus for us. We loved this place from the moment we saw it, and we had to go with our heart.”
Wedding Planning
“Shana Namrata Events was the team behind the success of our wedding. We signed them up only 15 days before our wedding, and they did such a fabulous job with everything. Everyone in the team is super professional, and they delivered much more than what they had promised.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
“We had a quirky and colorful mehndi where pastel and bright colors were used together to create a unique fusion of shades. We went with a lot of quirky decor elements such as origami birds, dream catchers created using printed fabrics and embroidery hoops. Our couple’s seating was flanked by beautiful pink peacocks, and a large ring with floral details that made up the backdrop.”
Sangeet
“The interiors of the ballroom at Le Méridien Jaipur Resort & Spa features a lot of carvings which exude a Moroccan feel. Hence, the theme for the sangeet which took place here was inspired by Morocco. The key colors used were golden, violet, orange, and white. We incorporated Moroccan lamps, candles, and Arabic pots for that Middle-Eastern vibe. The stage backdrop was an LED screen which split for Jai and my entry.”
Wedding
“The color palette for our wedding decor consisted of red and white as both colors are considered auspicious. Thus there were no other shades that we could imagine coloring our wedding venue with. Jai and I entered hand in hand under a tunnel of lit pyros, and it looked magical.”
Reception
“The decor for the reception was designed to look dreamy, and the colors used were red and gold. We used lots of flowers, especially heliconia which added a soft romantic appeal to the environs. To enhance the glam factor we made use of chandeliers, mirror tables, and candles.”
Advice To Couples
“Marriage preparations can be tricky and stressful, so stay focused. In the end, everything comes together and feels magical to enjoy and cherish every moment of the preparations.”
