Wedding Venue
For their pre-wedding festivities Namrata and Prathamesh went for Alila Diwa Goa where they blissfully celebrated with their loved ones in the month of November! Namrata shares, “We chose Alila Diwa Goa as both of us have always wanted to have a series of breezy, laid-back celebrations at our wedding. Plus, we had a guests list of almost a thousand people so the hospitality had to be top-notch. At this property, we were absolutely impressed by the amenities, the in-house venues and the warmth of the staff. Every need was taken care of. Plus, all the guests who were local Goans or hailed from the neighboring towns were also impressed!”
Wedding Planning
As the couple remotely envisioned their destination wedding, planning it on-ground at Goa was Purple Tree Event Solutions. Prathamesh shares, “Working with team Purple Tree Event Solutions was such a breeze. They took care of every detail and the proficiency with which they worked was amazing! There wasn’t a single aspect they skipped overlooking. We definitely look forward to working with them in the future.” On the design front, the reins were handed over to VLW Global who amplified the duo’s vision with their own creativity. Namrata shares, “VLW Global was absolutely thorough with their work. They executed each idea perfectly and added their own inputs that took the design elements to a whole new level.”
Weddings Functions
Mehndi
With a lavender and light pink color palette, the mehndi decor used a plethora of blooms to create a dreamy ambience. Paired with similarly hued drapes, cane baskets and lampshades, the decor was earthy yet feminine.
Sangeet
Giving glamor a leg-up was the sangeet which boasted a vast dancefloor, several spotlights and a special seating area for the couple that was adorned with red roses.
Haldi
Using bright colors like yellow, white and blue, the haldi balanced contemporary as well as traditional elements with ease. Blue pottery vases brimming with cheery yellow blooms and citrus fruits basked in the sunshine while the guests were sheltered under a canopy of breezy white drapes. In sync with the color palette of the occasion, the dance floor was also a white one with blue motifs on it surrounded by foldable chairs with blue cushions.
Wedding and Dinner
Going all out with the blooms, the wedding mandap was a floral dream come true. Constructed by the shore, the acrylic pillars gave the guests a clear view of the Maharashtrian wedding rituals. Bedecked in roses setup with an ombre color scheme of pink, red and white, the mandap looked dreamy as the duo exchanged varmalas backed by the sunny sky.
The ceremony was then followed by a lavish wedding dinner attended by Goa’s Chief Minister Mr. Pramod Sawant.
Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Having the right vendors on the team who can echo your aesthetics is extremely important. We were lucky enough to have that and thankfully, started planning everything in advance.”
