Giving new-age glamour a traditional twist, Neha Ostwal and Sparsh Mutha’s wedding celebrated the couple’s heritage while expressing their love for travel. Inspired by countries around the world, this wedding was planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Event Casa.
Wedding Planning
Wedding planning is a complex feat where one has to pay attention to the smallest of details to make the biggest of events a dream come true. For Neha and Sparsh, Event Casa provided continuous support as they found their way through the intricate maze of wedding planning. Right from helping the bride overcome her jitters before orating her customised vows in front of the guests to ensuring the couple savored the moment while keeping the chaos of a destination wedding at bay – Event Casa was there with the couple at every step of the way.
Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch
Neha shares, “The wedding festivities started with a Greek-themed lunch named ‘Chic and Chandon’. We included an audio guestbook phone booth at the Greek affair lunch for guests to leave wishes for us. Also, we did the plate smashing (a Greek tradition) to ward off the evil and begin the wedding celebration.”
Sangeet
Inspired by Rome, the sangeet was named ‘A Colosseum Soiree’. Opulence was abundant at this celebration that sported crystal chandeliers, lush floral setups, LED arches and a vast stage where everyone shook a leg under the starlit sky.
Moroccan Carnival
Neha shares, “The next day, we had a colorful carnival planned with a Moroccan theme and the event was named ‘Moroccan Bazaar’. The carnival was full of interactive activities like live perfume making, live engraving on coasters, live candle making and block printing which kept the guests occupied. A lavish spread for lunch indulged everyone as they geared up for the big day.”
Wedding and Reception
The evening following the Moroccan Carnival hosted the varmala ceremony that was carefully planned adhering to the couple’s vision. The bride shares, “In the evening we had our varmala ceremony and reception where we chose a ‘Laal Ishq’ themed decor depicting royalness and luxury. Romantic contemporary songs on which the dancers performed a classical performance marked the event. Plus, we also played a mix of traditional and contemporary Bollywood songs. The next morning, our pheras were hosted on the lawn with a pastel-themed French floral garden decor.”
