Nikita and Cameron, Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, Florence

An elegant wedding that brought together Indian and Persian traditions against the beauty of the Italian countryside.

Nikita and Cameron’s wedding in Tuscany brought together three distinct cultures in a celebration that felt deeply personal and beautifully cohesive. From the sunlit landscapes and Renaissance architecture of Florence to intimate ceremonies and candlelit dinners, every event balanced tradition with an effortless Italian sensibility. Capturing it all was WeddingSutra Favorite – The Photo Lab, whose photographs brought the weekend’s vibrant details, quiet emotions and editorial elegance together with a distinctly natural perspective.

How They Met
Nikita and Cameron met in 2019 on the 46th floor of a downtown Los Angeles high-rise, where they worked at the same investment management firm. Fresh out of college, Nikita was assigned a desk directly behind Cameron’s, and an instant connection grew over Schitt’s Creek, Trader Joe’s snacks and whispered conversations that their coworkers quickly noticed.

During the COVID lockdown, their friendship naturally evolved into something more. Six years later, the couple lives together in West Hollywood with their pug, Pepper. Cameron proposed on a yacht off Santa Monica in August 2023, after which the couple spent two years planning their dream wedding in Tuscany. They officially married in September 2025, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Wedding Planning
Nikita discovered The Photo Lab through Instagram Explore and was immediately drawn to their ability to make photographs feel vibrant yet natural, intimate yet editorial. From their first conversation, the team made the couple feel comfortable and understood. Multiple video calls, followed by a dinner together in Los Angeles, established a strong connection long before the wedding weekend.
That sense of ease became especially meaningful for Nikita and Cameron, who were not entirely comfortable in front of the camera. Rather than imposing on the moments, The Photo Lab created space for them to unfold naturally, capturing the couple with warmth, sensitivity and an instinct for genuine emotion.

Wedding Functions
Sangeet
Set in a historic Florentine garden, the Sangeet brought Indian colour and energy into a distinctly Tuscan setting. Marigold garlands and hanging bells added a festive touch, while natural textures and woven seating complemented the garden surroundings. The result was lively without feeling overly elaborate, allowing the music, dance and celebrations to take centre stage.

Hindu Wedding Ceremony
The morning Hindu wedding unfolded against the rolling Tuscan hills, with Renaissance architecture providing a timeless backdrop. The décor was intentionally soft, pairing pastel tones with minimal florals for a serene, understated setting. Dressed in traditional white, the couple’s ceremony felt intimate and elegant, with the surrounding landscape adding to its sense of calm.

Sofreh Aghd
For Nikita’s Persian ceremony, the setting shifted into a more atmospheric mood. A candlelit courtyard created a warm, intimate backdrop for the beautifully curated Sofreh Aghd, where symbolic elements and crystal details brought richness and meaning to the ceremony. The glow of the candles against the historic architecture gave the evening an understated sense of grandeur.

Reception
The celebrations culminated in a romantic Tuscan evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. Inside an ornate historic space, long tables dressed in deep red were illuminated by rows of taper candles and glass votives, creating a dramatic contrast with the richly decorated Renaissance ceiling. Warm, candlelit and cinematic, the reception brought the multicultural celebration to a memorable close.
