Nikita and Neesh, Jaz Belvedere Resort, Egypt
Flanked by the sea waves and fringed by palm trees, this couple’s white and pastel-hued wedding mandap looked right at home by the beach.
Set against the raw beauty of the Egyptian landscape, Nikita and Neesh’s destination wedding was high on energy. As the couple took the plunge and celebrated their love with a series of vibrant events, WeddingSutra Favorite – Oragraphy was with them at every step of the way capturing them at their best.
How They Met
Neesh shares, “We met at our cousin’s wedding where one of her cousin sisters was getting married to my cousin brothers. We had a minimal conversation on the wedding day but after the wedding my sister sent her a request on Facebook and we were set up for our first date!”
The Proposal
Neesh shares, “Nikita is a romantic at heart and always wanted a formal proposal from me. I proposed to her in Udaipur after a romantic dinner by the lake. She was quite surprised!”
Wedding Planning
Neesh shares, “For us the right wedding photography and videography team were essential! We are both ardent admirers of the art and wanted to ensure that each moment of our destination wedding was fully captured. After a lot of research, we came across Oragraphy who impressed us with their work. Right from the candids to the wedding trailer and teaser, everything was just awesome! The way they recorded our events including portrait shots and videos is beyond our expectations. I didn’t have to tell them how to take and what to take at any point. They knew everything.”
Weddings Functions
Pool Party
Revelling under the blazing Egyptian sun, the guests had a fun time at the pool party as they splashed around. With quirky floaters shaped like larger-than-life flamingos and peacocks, the party had a very laid-back vibe which led everyone to let their hair down.
Sangeet
After the sunkissed pool party, the couple celebrated their sangeet under a star studded sky. With a huge stage, cold pyros and a trippy LED screen, the sangeet had everyone shaking a leg to Bollywood chartbusters.
Vidhi, Mehndi and Haldi
For the combined vidhi, mehndi and haldi celebrations – the couple took to the sunny outdoors again where sheltered under Egyptian palm trees, they were playfully slathered with turmeric paste by their loved ones.
Night Club Party
After their time outdoors in the morning, the couple shifted their evening celebrations indoors as they hosted a Night Club Party. Resembling, as the name of the party suggested, a nightclub, the decor was dominated by LED lights as high-tempo music made everyone come on the dancefloor.
Wedding
Hosted by the beach, the wedding was a serene one backed by gentle sea waves and fringed by palm trees. Echoing the beauty of the surrounding landscape, the colour palette was a pristine white accentuated by touches of gold. The mandap was adorned with suspended white blooms while its pillars were decked with pastel blooms and foliage. The groom, in true Egyptian style, came in on camelback.
Advice For Couples
Nikita shares, “We planned the wedding ourselves and ensured everything was highly detailed. I think that made us grow stronger as a team right before the wedding.”
