Nikita and Puneet, Pattaya
With a customized logo that reflected the happy couple’s personalities, this wedding was a fun-filled occasion.
Nikita and Puneet hosted a vibrant wedding in Pattaya, Thailand, where WeddingSutra Favorite – Version Events transformed the stunning venues into magical spaces with standout decor for the celebrations. Take a peek at some highlights of the festivities.
How They Met
Puneet shares, “Our families initially connected me to Nikita via an online matrimonial site, and as soon as we got in touch, we realized that we were always meant to be. I was in the US at that time for my holidays, and she was at home in India. The first time we exchanged our numbers, we were glued to our phone for a good 22 hours, despite being in different time zones. I credit all my training as a commercial pilot, I guess that helped me stay awake for all those hours. A few weeks later, I managed to make a trip to Mumbai, where she flew down to meet me in person finally. Sparks flew, and the rest is history.”
Wedding Function
Mehndi
The decor team transformed the venue into a spring wonderland with magenta and orange accents. They customized their wedding logo by taking inspiration from Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas’ wedding. The outer space and the area around the entrance were decorated with blush pink and white blooms on pastel pink and magenta drapes. The indoor space saw brighter tones of pink and orange. The backdrop had Nikita and Puneet’s wedding logo decorated with orange and pink flowers. The bride looked stunning in a purple embellished lehenga by Akanksha Gajria, and the groom matched his lady love in a purple kurta with printed black Nehru jacket by Rohit Bal.
Haldi
Going with a vibrant yellow theme for the haldi function, the couple along with the team of Version Events decided to keep the decor simple and fun by adding a pop of yellow with bright, marigold flowers and greens by the poolside. For the backdrop behind the seating arrangement for the couple is where the decor team added yellow drapes and hung white dream catchers around the ceiling. For all the guests who wanted to take a dip in the pool post the function, they put yellow and white duck floaties, in sync with the decor. The guests too, along with the couple, wore outfits in the shade of yellow. Nikita wore a bright yellow skirt and cape which she paired with a mirror work multi-colored blouse by Chatenya Mittal. Puneet looked dashing in a yellow kurta and white dhoti pants, also by Chatenya Mittal.
Sangeet
Their sangeet followed the theme of ‘Gold and Black.’ The venue incorporated dimly lit lights, gold sequinned drapes, candles, crystal hangings and chandeliers. To add a contrast to the theme, fresh white daisies, hydrangeas, roses and green foliage dotted the venue. The backdrop of the bar had huge alphabetical sign lamps that read ‘Love.’ With the help of F5 Weddings, the couple curated a personalized ‘His’ and ‘Her’ cocktails such as Marry Me Margarita, Say I Do Sangria and Be Mine Wines, amongst others. Nikita wore a rose pink lehenga by Pankaj and Nidhi, and Puneet picked a red sherwani by Rohit Bal. After dancing on a romantic number together, their guests rocked the night with their amazing performances.
Wedding
Their wedding saw all shades of pink details in the decor, from the drapes to flowers and the aisle. Their mandap, overlooking the calm waters of the Gulf of Siam, featured pink drapes, white and pink flowers with a few green elements. The aisle that led to the mandap was floored with pink fabric and flanked with potted plants. The pictures of the setup came out stunning with the sunset in the background adding a crimson hue. The bride walked under a floral canopy, wearing a red lehenga paired with a yellow dupatta by Anju Modi. The groom made a striking entry in a yacht wearing a white sherwani and copper headgear by Rohit Bal.
After-Party and Pool Bash
After the wedding rituals got over, the bride and groom put on their party clothes and danced to tunes of upbeat music with their family and friends. Later in the evening, they all splashed in the pool to end the wedding on a high note. For the pool-party, all guests were seen wearing quirky shirts with logos, while the bride picked a black monokini by Shivan & Naresh.
