Niyati and Dwij, Hua Hin

Hosted amidst the tropical beauty of Hua Hin, Thailand, Niyati and Dwij’s wedding was inspiration galore, brimming with striking decor, beautiful Thai influences and special touches. WeddingSutra Favorite – Marriageuana left no stone unturned to plan and execute the beautiful festivities, while WeddingSutra Favorite – Cupcake Productions caught every moment in splendid frames.

Wedding Planning
The couple embraced the coastal beauty and allure of Hua Hin, Thailand, and chose the beguiling Dusit Thani as the perfect backdrop to their vibrant wedding revelries. To design and execute the celebration of their dreams, they brought on board the team of Marriageuana who worked in tandem with them to bring every little detail to life.

The couple hosted 4 stunning functions over the space of 2 days with their friends and family. Every moment of their revelries were captured in vivid details and candid beauty by Cupcake Productions.

Wedding Functions

Guest Welcome
The wedding extravaganza started on a high from the moment of arrival of the guests who were welcomed with a stunning performance by traditional Thai dancers and musicians. A dazzling floral installation in the hotel lobby accompanied a floral arrangement of Lord Ganesha. Also, detailed itinerary cards with the promise of a spectacular celebration were handed to the guests.

Poolside Party
The wedding kicked off with a colorful wine-and-cheese pool party to get everyone in a festive mood. Stylish, sustainable decor in pretty pastel hues set a joyous tone for the sunny outdoor function, along with a few pops of bright colors. Dressed in a breezy sky blue brunch blazer and a sleek magenta gown respectively, the groom and bride entered with Brazilian Carnival dancers by their side. Guests were treated to a spectacular show of synchronized underwater ballet, and they also enjoyed grooving with the carnival dancers on peppy international tracks. Beer pong games, couple games, chilled coconut water, foot massages and beach hat wedding favors all added to the glory of the celebration.

Musical Night
For their Sangeet night, Niyati and Dwij said “Bring on the Bling!” with a glitzy celebration brimming with sequins, shimmer and glitter. Replete with a spacious dance floor, flashing lights, a mesmerizing floral backdrop with LED and cascading crystals, the evening was a glamorous and rousing affair with energetic performances by family members and groovy tunes that had everyone dancing into the wee hours of the night.

Mehndi
The next day began with a beachside Mehndi, a ‘Fun’jabi affair with vibrant decor and non-stop entertainment. A breezy entryway made of drapes in every color of the rainbow welcomed the guests into the festivities where quirky handmade props and flowers set a cheerful ambience. The couple entered the venue dancing to the beats of the Punjabi dhols, while energetic Bhangra-Gidda dancers performed on numerous popular tracks. The crescendo of the celebration was a mind-blowing performance by friends of Niyati’s mother.

Wedding
The Wedding soiree began at the hotel’s lawn with great pomp and splendor with the arrival of the groom. Driving in a vintage car with his friends, the groom was accompanied by his horde of exuberant family members dancing to Punjabi numbers, while the bride wowed everyone with her stunning yet emotional entry under a floral umbrella accompanied by her brothers. The couple exchanged Jaimalas amidst grand cold pyros and fireworks.

Hosted in the Ballroom, the Wedding and Reception saw enchanting decor designed completely with a rich palette of red and gold. Brimming with ravishing red floral arrangements, the backdrop struck the perfect balance between elegance and grandeur with cascading blooms, while a blend of white and gold setting for the hall completed the look with panache. Soothing live instrumental music by Alison Gabriell, a British cellist who played Bollywood and International tunes with a glass cello added a touch of splendor to the night.
