Noor Duggal and Vansh Tandon, Fairmont Jaipur
A rousing celebration with some ‘Fun’jabi flair mixed with the royalty of Rajasthan.
Nothing beats the splendor of a Big Fat Indian Wedding. But when the exuberance of Punjabi wedding revelries combines with the palatial grandeur of Rajasthan’s royal heritage, all bets are off! WeddingSutra Favorite – Fiestro Events planned and executed a celebration that was high on energy and fun for Noor and Vansh’s wedding in the pink city, the pictures of which will surely get you dreaming of your own!
How they met
Noor and Vansh crossed paths in Sydney two years back and soon fell in love while connecting over common backgrounds and culture. Although the only thing holding them back was a difference in future plans, little did they know then that their story was being written by something bigger than their differences. Unbeknownst to them, their families came together to bless their union and they got through any misgivings, knowing fully well that they were meant to be together.
Wedding Planning
Noor shares, “Vansh was very passionate about our wedding and left no stone unturned to make it as grand and royal as possible. When he visited Fairmont Jaipur, he fell in love with the venue instantly. Our team of wedding vendors were some of the best in the field and made our time at Fairmont truly memorable. The most credit goes to our wedding planners Fiestro Events who gave us the best experience ever. They were incredibly thoughtful and took all our ideas and choices into account to make the celebration feel as personal as possible, making our vision of a true royal wedding into reality.”
The wedding moments were captured by the team of Dipak Studios, while a talented collection of designers and artists got the couple looking and feeling their best for each of the functions.
Wedding Functions
Sufi Night
The three day event was heralded by a soulful sufi night. The intimate indoor affair looked radiant in a white floral decor with shades of green and was swathed in a warm golden light, tons of tinsel, lounge lights, lanterns and more. The melodious tunes of Nazami Bandhu set a charming tone for the whole wedding as the couple and their guests enjoyed the evening mingling, dancing and laughing.
Mehndi
The next morning began on a high with an exuberant Mehndi carnival. The vibrant decor saw a joyous mix of colors and textures perfect for the endless energy and enjoyment of a Punjabi gathering. The bride and groom looked radiant in yellow and green as they entered dancing to high octane dhol beats with their loved ones in tow. The guests got their hands painted with henna even as they all danced, sang, ate and made merry!
Sangeet
The Sangeet night was a glitzy affair of rousing music and incredible performances. Lush decor of foliage interspersed with chandeliers, disco balls, modish prints and neon lights gave the evening an ‘Enchanted Forest’ feel while the exuberant guests were entertained by being treated to Gurnazar Chattha’s melodious voice that was decidedly followed by perfectly choreographed dances by the couple and their loved ones.
Haldi
The final wedding day began with a sunny outdoor Haldi ceremony followed by a pool party for everyone to enjoy and let loose. Traditional hues of yellow got a modern updo with fun decor and professional artists that set a lively, casual atmosphere for the pre-wedding rituals.
Wedding
Starting from the entry tunnel to the mandap, the foliage and more, the Wedding ceremony exuded romantic grandeur with a striking floral decor setup that was intricately crafted from thousands of pink and red blooms. The bride looked resplendent in a rich multi-colored embroidered lehenga by Marwar Couture that was perfectly complemented by the groom’s elegant ivory sherwani, and the two looked like the perfect portrait of love as they exchanged varmalas on a floral stage surrounded by fireworks. Bollyjammers and DJ Alex kept everyone entertained for the entire evening, making the night highly memorable for all.
Advice for couples
“The only advice for other couples getting married in the Post-Pandemic world is to remain calm. Don’t stress and always remember to have a backup plan. No small details should be neglected during the planning process because these very elements will finally add up and lead to a very successful and memorable wedding.”
