Despite travelling together across Jordan, AlUla, Cappadocia and countless breathtaking destinations, actress and lifestyle creator Palak Purswani and Rohan Khanna would eventually discover that the place where they were always meant to begin their forever wasn’t in another country, but at the sacred feet of Adiyogi in Coimbatore. How They Met
For Palak and Rohan, this wasn’t simply a wedding. It was a prayer, a surrender and a beginning blessed with silence, devotion and grace. Their story began with a fleeting five-minute conversation at a restaurant where they never even exchanged surnames. Yet the connection lingered. Months later, an unexpected Instagram message from Rohan changed everything. Their first date wasn’t over coffee or cocktails but at Siddhivinayak Temple, setting the tone for a relationship rooted in faith before romance. Within weeks, they knew they had found something extraordinary. Three months later, amid the snow-covered landscapes of Love Valley in Cappadocia, Rohan proposed with a five-carat ring, unknowingly setting them on a path that would eventually lead them back to Adiyogi.
Wedding Planning
This was never about finding the grandest destination. It was about finding the place that felt like home to their souls. With just sixty of their closest family and friends in attendance, the couple exchanged their seven sacred vows before the iconic 112-foot Adiyogi, a space revered by seekers across the world. Held with special permission from the Isha Foundation, the ceremony became an exceptionally rare and deeply meaningful occasion.

Konark Weddings designed each setting to honour the spiritual significance of the venue rather than compete with it, while WeddingSutra Favorite – Floral Art crafted bespoke varmalas that beautifully echoed the understated elegance of the celebrations. Guiding guests through every ritual with warmth and grace, emcee WeddingSutra Favorite – Eeshan Atmanii added depth and ease to the experience, while Knotting Bells documented every quiet exchange, sacred ritual and heartfelt emotion with understated elegance. Together, they brought the couple’s vision to life across two thoughtfully curated days.
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The celebrations commenced on 25th June with an intimate welcome dinner centred around warmth, gratitude and togetherness. Rich shades of plum and oxblood lent the evening an inviting, intimate mood, while a single long dining table encouraged every guest to gather as one family. Live music added to the relaxed ambience, and handwritten notes placed at every seat offered a heartfelt reminder of the role each loved one had played in the couple’s journey.
Wedding
Before sunrise on their wedding day, Palak and Rohan first offered prayers at the Devi Temple within the Isha Yoga Center, seeking blessings before stepping into the next chapter of their lives. As dawn gently illuminated the landscape, the ceremony began beneath a gold-toned mandap inspired by timeless Indian temple architecture. Designed to exist in harmony with its sacred surroundings, the setting was adorned with fragrant mogra, tuberose, rajnigandha, white roses and sacred bilva leaves. Vedic chants echoed through the morning air, while a live narrator thoughtfully explained each ritual, allowing every guest to fully experience the significance of the ceremony. The atmosphere was serene, immersive and profoundly spiritual.
For her bridal look, Palak chose a striking red lehenga by Papa Don’t Preach, intricately embellished with shimmering stonework and paired with a contemporary blouse that reinterpreted the classic bridal silhouette while honouring tradition. Heirloom-inspired gold polki jewellery completed her look, while bespoke kaliras became its most meaningful detail. Each charm symbolised a chapter of their story, from the couple’s initials and their parents’ initials to their beloved dog Oreo, their shared zodiac sign, an Adiyogi motif and even the restaurant where they first met.
Guests arrived dressed in shades of ivory and white, creating a beautifully restrained palette that kept the focus firmly on the sacred union unfolding before them. The celebrations concluded with a traditional breakfast featuring live dosas, pongal and freshly brewed filter coffee, bringing everyone together one final time in a simple yet meaningful farewell.
