How They Met
Like many modern-day love stories, Pooja and Maneesh’s journey began with a swipe on a dating app. At the time, Maneesh was based in Los Angeles while Pooja was attending medical school in Portland, Oregon. Originally from LA, she had temporarily changed her dating app location while visiting family, prompting Maneesh to jokingly accuse her of “catfishing” him during their very first conversation. Their conversations soon moved from the app to text messages, but as life grew busier, they gradually lost touch. Months later, Pooja unexpectedly reached out with a message referencing one of their old inside jokes, effortlessly rekindling their connection. Unknown to Maneesh, although she had deleted the dating app just two days after downloading it, there had always been something about him she couldn’t quite forget.

That spontaneous message led to their first date in Santa Monica, where an easy conversation blossomed into a lasting relationship. From there, their story unfolded naturally, leading them to the beautiful celebration of love they had always envisioned together.

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony unfolded in a palette of warm yellows accented with fresh blooms and understated styling, creating an intimate setting centered around family, cherished rituals, and togetherness. Before long, the celebration took on a more playful spirit as family and friends joined in, transforming the traditional Haldi into a lively, water-soaked affair. DJ Shiva elevated the lunchtime gathering into an energetic dance party, setting the tone for the vibrant celebrations that followed over the next few days.

Welcome Dinner
The Welcome Dinner at Ambrai Restaurant offered guests an unforgettable introduction to the romance of Udaipur. Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Pichola with the illuminated City Palace in the distance, the evening paired spectacular views with exquisite cuisine and meaningful conversations, setting the tone for the celebrations to come.

Luncheon
Thoughtfully conceived as a moment to pause between festivities, the Leisure Luncheon gave guests the freedom to relax and enjoy the destination at their own pace. Forgoing a traditional pandit, Pooja and Maneesh had their siblings officiate the wedding, with family members taking part throughout the ceremony. They also exchanged vows they had written themselves, making the ceremony a deeply personal reflection of their journey while seamlessly blending contemporary values with timeless customs.

Reception
