How they met
Preeti and Chirag’s tale of love makes you believe in destiny. Together since the age of 13, the childhood sweethearts met in school. After 10 years of togetherness that saw everything from pure friendship to first love, adulthood, careers, and everything in between, the two decided to tie the knot and start the next chapter of their lives.
Proposal
“Two weeks before the proposal, Chirag told me about his upcoming trip to Bali with his friends and invited me to join, which I was more than thrilled to do. We landed to find perfect weather and were just in time to catch the magical sunset. On the day of the proposal, Chirag was edgy right from breakfast, fidgeting with his phone. He claimed it was urgent work stuff, which in retrospect was of course him just arranging everything perfectly for the proposal” Preeti laughs “When Chirag finally suggested we go for a stroll on the beach, despite the dreary weather I agreed, not knowing that I had one of the biggest surprises awaiting me at that beach. As we walked through light rain and the sound of waves, I saw the picturesque décor from a distance and my heart skipped a bit. Set with bohemian elements like flowers, champagne, and candles, the dreamy beachfront setup was flush with romance. We arrived at the proposal spot and I turned around to see the man of my dreams on one knee reciting his speech overlooking the ocean! Tears started to flow, we kissed, and without any hesitation, I said YES!”
Wedding Venue
Preeti shares, “Chirag and I both share a love of the ocean, and Bali has always held a special place in our hearts, with its rustic natural beauty and warmth of people. The fact that Chirag also popped the question here cemented the decision of choosing it for our wedding. We chose Conrad Bali for its gorgeous resort setup, exceptional staff, and breathtaking ocean views. The host of outdoor venues gave us breathtaking backdrops for all of our functions.”
Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned a destination wedding that combined their respective traditions with the unique flavors of Bali to give their guests a memorable experience and entrusted the team of Innaz Communique to plan and execute their celebrations. Wedding Functions
Mehndi and Misri
The festivities began with a divine mehndi and misri ceremony for the couple. Refreshing floral decor softly enhanced the open lush spaces for the occasion with delicate string lights and pastel hues. The romantic, minimalist ethos of the function extended onto the property’s iconic infinity chapel by the ocean, offering a serene backdrop to the couple’s ring ceremony. The bride honored her special bonds with her fiancee and family by including them in the mehndi designs that adorned her hands.
Ghari Puja
The next day began with a traditional Ghari Pooja. The bride exuded modern glam in a modish Manish Malhotra lehenga.
Pool Party
Revving up the energy meter, the couple and their loved ones enjoyed a refreshing pool party. Imbibed with the exotic charm of Havana, the occasion saw vibrant tropical decor, local Bali dancers, smoke bombs, and more, setting a lively atmosphere for a day of pool fun.
Wedding
Brimming with romance and tranquility, the beach wedding was a dream come true for the bride and groom. Plush floral decor in hues of red and pink painted a stunning visual against the pristine sands and the azure waves behind, while the mandap of flowers was designed in the shape of a lotus. Dressed in white and red, the couple exuded love as they tied the knot.
Reception
The festivities were brought to a spectacular close with a Reception dinner. Filled with elegant, ethereal decor that saw striking 3D flowers, drapes, white mist, and more, it was a night of toasts, dancing, and timeless moments. The bride dazzled in a metallic chevron pattern lehenga while the groom flaunted a regal teal sherwani.
