From love birds to now happily married, Prexa Jain and Vishal Patel’s International love story was nothing short of a fairy tale. Hosted across many of Udaipur’s iconic heritage properties including Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, their awe-inspiring festivities were planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Perfexion Events to give their global guestlist an experience they would never forget! Wedding Venue
Prexa fell head over heels for Udaipur on one of her visits from the US and so the couple decided to get married in the city of lakes. The couple selected a range of illustrious heritage hotels as the backdrop to their wedding festivities, including Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, Trident Hotel Udaipur, City Palace Udaipur, and Jagmandir.
Wedding Planning
Led by Team Perfexion Events, everything from their invites to the décor, attire, and grandiose celebrations was customized to reflect their love. From the very beginning, Prexa was clear about the kind of wedding she wanted, the vibes and aesthetics of it which she communicated to her vendor teams who effortlessly designed and executed the same. Additionally, having lived in different countries their whole lives, Prexa and Vishal had tons of international guests and wanted to give them the full traditional wedding experience, with of course a contemporary touch. From the best of wedding entertainment with celebrated artists such as Best Kept Secret and The Wedding Chants by Dharini Thakker to the most jaw-dropping couple entrances designed by Angel Performing Arts, every moment was unforgettable.
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The festivities kicked off at the Taj Fateh Prakash Palace with a night of dance and revelry imagined with the spectacular theme of Into the Wild. Celebrating the groom’s lifelong connection to Zambia, the poolside soiree saw exotic foliage, jungle vines, animal installations, and more. Decked with gorgeous red floral arrangements, the lakefront dinner was full of love and laughter as the couple spent quality time with their loved ones.
Satak, Mayra, and Mehndi
The morning of pre-wedding rituals at the Trident Hotel Udaipur took the guests on a vividly colorful journey through Rajasthan. The groom’s Satak ceremony and the bride’s Mayra were followed by a vibrant mehndi celebration. Imagined in hues of purple, pink, and orange, the decor saw tons of flowers, drapes, prints, and more, offering a modern representation of the region with a quirky flare. Customized with the couple’s wedding hashtag, games such as Jenga and fun activities like caricature drawing kept the guests engaged!
Pool Party
With the breezy addition of white drapes and beats by DJ Hysteric, the mehndi function transitioned into a lively pool party. The guests were showered with thoughtful giveaways such as sunglasses, shirts, and sunscreen for a day of pool fun. Everyone splashed in the water and danced to their heart’s content, while foot spa therapists were kept on hand to give them some care when they got tired.
Sangeet
Dubbed ‘To Infinity and Beyond”, the Sangeet evening at Zenana Mahal in City Palace was the most awaited function of the whole trip! The evening commenced with a jaw-dropping fire act, followed by the couple’s mesmerizing entry from the jharokha on the stage as Team Angel Performing Arts amped up the energy for the big reveal. The ring exchange and cake-cutting were followed by heartfelt speeches by their siblings and cousins, before giving way to mind-blowing dance performances. The celebrity singing duo of Sachet-Parampara then took to the stage, giving their guests a night to remember!
Haldi
Inspired by the hues of the sun, the haldi function was imbibed with the vibrant decor of marigolds and drapes in yellow and orange. From the phoolon ki mandi at the entrance to statement props and elements, the occasion was a riot of colors! After a stunning couple’s entry, the guests enjoyed a day of fun games and activities tug-of-war and water balloon fights, customized coconut drinks, phoolon ki haldi, colorful aerial sky shots, the release of helium balloons, and a lot more.
Wedding
Hosted at the iconic island of Jagmandir, the wedding ceremony was a beguiling celebration of love! Inspired by palace architecture, a sprawling structure of intricate white canopies on pillars spanned the lawns, complete with elegant furnishings and flowers in a romantic palette of pink. The couple exchanged their garlands in a courtyard amidst much applause, followed by the phera ceremony and Reception. Dramatic dance entries with SFX, showers of flower petals, and soulful chants by Dharini Thakker took the occasion to the next level.
The nuptials were followed by a grand Reception dinner, elevated by the musical stylings of Best Kept Secret, making it the perfect end to a spectacular wedding affair!
