After a beautiful journey of 12 years that echoes the timeless sentiment of “Pyaar Dosti Hai” (love is friendship) from “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, Mayank Agarwal and Priyal Mewara celebrated their new chapter with a dream wedding at Oleander Farms. Framed by verdant beauty, the celebrations were meticulously brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite – Ties & Knots.
Mayank works in the realm of construction, and navigating the intricacies of government and budgeting, while Priyal is a visionary designer and co-creator of the brand Ode To Odd.

Wedding Venue
The idyllic property of Oleander Farms in Karjat played host to the couple’s dream venue. They share “After searching for venues for more than 4 months, a chance online encounter led us to Oleander Lawns. We wanted all of our events to be outdoors and wanted our venue to have an abundance of natural beauty, and Oleander Farms offered us exactly that, nestled in 200 acres of beautiful farmland. It also offered us convenient access, and the intimacy and freshness it offered despite being a huge property, made it the perfect choice for us.”

Wedding Planning
The couple wanted the decor to blend in seamlessly with the verdant greenery and natural landscape of the venue. The couple entrusted the team of Ties & Knots to bring their vision to life.

Reflecting on the experience, the couple shares “We loved working with the team from the day we began. With their innate calmness and confidence, the founders of Ties & Knots just put us at ease. Wedding Functions
Sufi Night
The celebrations kicked off with a Sufi night, where the ambiance beautifully fused elegance with a touch of royal opulence. Mughal architectural elements, such as intricate jaali work and graceful arches, adorned the venue, complemented by ornate candle stands and the enchanting aroma of Rajnigandha flowers. The air was filled with the musical stylings of a Sufi band, inviting everyone to dance and revel in the moment. The bride, draped in a pearl-detailed white saree, and the groom, clad in a classic black achkan, created a perfect visual contrast that added to the evening’s charm.

Bhaat
The following day commenced with the Bhaat ceremony, set against the tranquil backdrop of the pool. The ambiance was adorned in a serene palette of white and gold, with umbrellas embellished with Indian motifs, vibrant flowers, and flowing drapes that gave a modern flair to the traditional aesthetic of the decor. The groom looked relaxed in an all-white ensemble, while the bride stood out in a striking indo-western outfit in vivid orange, complete with a bold blazer that perfectly channeled the decor’s essence of fusion.

Haldi
The Bhaat ceremony transitioned into a lively Haldi celebration, where the decor burst forth with flowers in every hue, creating a whimsical atmosphere against the lush greenery. Stepping away from traditional yellows, the couple donned shades of pink that harmonized beautifully with the summery floral theme. The event radiated love, laughter, and joy, filled with music, dance, and showers of confetti. The rituals were enriched with heartfelt family moments, making the day truly memorable.

Sangeet
An electrifying evening unfolded at the Sangeet amidst the atmospheric decor of rich red drapes and soft lounge lighting, complemented by elegant dark wood accents and luxurious leather couches. The bride dazzled in a stunning dark green ensemble and the groom looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo. A captivating stage set the scene for heartfelt family performances in a celebration of music, dance, cocktails, and endless enjoyment.

Wedding
The wedding unfolded like a Tuscan fairytale amidst the expanse of lush green lawns, vibrant bursts of flowers, and elegant marble statues that captivated the senses. A grand welcome board at the entrance showcased the couple’s journey since 2012, inviting guests into their story. Dressed in white, both the bride and groom exuded an ethereal charm. The breathtaking floral mandap and aisle embraced a wild, untamed beauty, eschewing perfection for a more natural allure. Surrounded by applause, the couple exchanged garlands and sealed their vows, marking the beginning of their new chapter together.

Reception
The wedding flowed effortlessly into the reception dinner, where the couple, now dressed in stunning red and black, embraced a glamorous avatar as they made their entrance as newlyweds. The air came alive with their first dance and champagne toasts, as everyone raised their glasses and took to the dance floor to celebrate Priyal and Mayank!

“We would certainly recommend locking in the venue at the earliest and having a great event planner. Weddings are always stressful but having great planners makes the experience so much smoother. Also, enjoy the process, because sometimes we get caught up in such small details that we forget the bigger picture. We forget that imperfect moments are what make a perfect wedding.”
