Rachita Arora and Ratul Kapoor, The Leela Goa

With the salty sea breeze, swaying palms and the bright February sun shining on them, Rachita Arora, an entrepreneur and digital marketing specialist’s beachside wedding with Ratul Kapoor, an audio engineer and business analyst was a dreamy one. It was hosted at The Leela Goa on the property’s pristine private beach. Photographing the couple’s precious moments together was WeddingSutra Favorite – Twogether Studios, who used their skills and sharp timing to capture some truly remarkable moments along with some fun candid ones.

How They Met
Rachita shares, “We accidentally got in touch through a prank call which Ratul made to me. Initially, it was supposed to be a two-minute prank call, but somehow we ended up having four hours of solid conversation. This led us to become good friends, and three months into our friendship, Ratul asked me out at a friend’s sixteenth birthday party.”

Wedding Venue
To host their dream wedding, the couple decided to go for The Leela Goa, a stunning, luxurious resort set amidst 75 acres of greenery. Boasting several in-house lagoons and airy rooms that are furnished with balconies, this venue ensured that its guests were pampered throughout their stay. Plus, the hotel’s private beach made for the perfect spot to experience romantic sunsets and amble along the waves on the pristine sand. The large lawns also fit right into Rachita and Ratul’s vision as it gave their creativity plenty of space to flourish. Rachita shares, “My family and I have been to The Leela Goa before, and we fell in love with the place on our very first trip! It exudes such a magical vibe setting it apart from other venues in Goa. Their hospitality, surroundings and amenities also spurred us to book it for our wedding.”

Wedding Planning
Rachita shares, “We were incredibly lucky to find such an amazing group of professionals at such short notice. The planning team, DRQ Hospitality Services Private Limited was at our side throughout the wedding and Twogether Studios photographed our wedding moments impeccably! All in all, we are so thankful to everyone in the team as they gave our wedding their hundred percent every single day.”

Weddings Functions
Cocktail
Rachita shares, “For the Cocktail, we went with the classic lounge theme, and it could not have been better! The ceiling was covered with foliage, and chandeliers lit up the indoor venue while a monochrome dancefloor had everyone shaking a leg.”

Mehndi
Rachita shares, “The Mehndi was an intimate celebration where the planning team impressed us with beautiful decor. We all had a great time as we got henna patterned on our palms while reveling to some of our favorite tunes.”

Haldi and Haldi Party
For the Haldi, the couple decided to go for a decor theme that consisted of tinted glass and pastel hues. Hosted on one of the property’s vast lanes, this was a sun-kissed occasion where the couple was welcomed by bursting color bombs. Later they were slathered with turmeric and showered with marigold petals.

Wedding
Rachita shares, “I am an ardent admirer of chrysanthemum blooms, and the decor reflected the same. Hosted by the beach, the Wedding was picture perfect against the blue sky and the open mandap gave everyone a clear view of the proceedings. Nothing was overdone! In fact, everything was designed keeping the natural surroundings in mind.”

Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Jot everything down on a to-do list and try to complete tasks accordingly. Get wedding planners on board and let them lead the way. Additionally, it’s important to also take charge and do some delegating if you want to make your wedding truly yours. Also, enjoy the process!”
