Rakhi and Siddhartha, who went digital hoping to find their soulmate on Tinder, recently got married at the elegant and historic property of Welcomhotel The Savoy, Mussoorie. WeddingSutra Favorite – Abhisakshi Photography captured candid moments of the wedding with a touch of fun in them.

How They Met
Siddhartha, reminiscing their old times, shares, “We like to call it an arranged love marriage without the involvement of our parents, where both of us planned our way through it, and things were a smooth sail for us. It all started when I super liked her profile on Tinder, and we gradually started talking. One thing led to another, and here we are, happily married.”

Wedding Venue
The happy bride shares, “Getting married at Welcomhotel The Savoy, Mussoorie was something I had dreamt of from the moment I saw its pictures. The ambience, the serenity and the aura of that place made things magical for all the guests who witnessed the two days of insane madness aptly coupled with joy. The entire team at the beautiful property sincerely epitomized the warmest hospitality.”

Wedding Functions

Haldi and Mehndi
The colorful and vibrant haldi and mehndi function was a welcome event, where the guests gathered, sat back, and relaxed while sipping on freshly brewed Sangria and chilled Champagne on ice. DJ Prashant took to the console and made the guests dance to peppy music. The couple customized their outfits and matched the colors and fabric.

Engagement
The engagement and cocktail party in the historical Savoy British Ballroom were filled with amazing dance performances by both friends and family. The DJ, along with his percussionist team, made everyone groove till dawn. The star couple put their stylish foot forward with Rakhi wearing a red Swati Wadhwani Couture gown, and Siddhartha styled a black three-piece suit from Brahaan by Narains.

Wedding
The groom entered with his baraat peeping out of an SUV’s sunroof, dancing on the dhol beats, with his friends and family, wearing a floral embroidered sherwani from Brahaan by Narains. He entered the venue by singing an impromptu Bollywood song ‘Mere sapno ki rani kab aayegi tu’ and ‘Intehaan ho gayi, intezaar ki’, for his bride. However, Rakhi stole the limelight when she made a marvelous entry as she walked down the iconic stairway with her bridesmaids dancing by her side to popular Bollywood numbers. The team at AbhiSakshi Photography beautifully captured the jaimala ceremony, while the mandap set against the background of the verdant mountains and azure skies made it a magical evening to remember. The bride looked stunning in a red Gazal Gupta lehenga for the wedding ceremony.

After Party
The evening ended on a high note with a pajama party where the youngsters were dressed in their best comfort clothing. DJ Prashant and Rooh Unlimited band made everyone dance to popular tracks till five in the morning as warm freshly baked cookies were doled out to everybody there. The Bollywood-loving oldies on the other hand, had karaoke where everyone sang their hearts out and cherished childhood memories while enjoying some lip-smacking fusion chaat by the United chaat house.

Rakhi shares, “When planning your wedding, ensure the food and cocktails are well sorted as both of these together can make an event a hit or a miss.”
