Rhea and Pelesh, Taj Lalit Bagh, Udaipur
A union of two families and countless memories, this destination wedding in Udaipur was as intimate as it was spectacular.
Hosted at Taj Lalit Bagh, Udaipur, Rhea and Pelesh’s multi-day wedding brought together two families from different parts of the world, the bride’s side from Dubai and the groom’s side from Spain. Planned and executed by Studio Eventz, the wedding balanced destination luxury with meaningful traditions, creating an experience that was rooted in connection, culture, and family.

How They Met
Before the celebrations, décor, and festivities, there was a simple family gathering. That’s where Rhea and Pelesh first met.
What began as a brief ten-minute interaction soon turned into something much more meaningful. For Pelesh, the connection was immediate. “From the very first moment I saw her, I knew she was the one,” he shared. Soon after came a seven-hour coffee date filled with easy conversation, laughter, and a sense of comfort that neither of them expected. That effortless connection became the foundation of their relationship and, later, the inspiration behind the wedding itself.

Wedding Venue
Set amidst landscaped gardens and heritage architecture, Taj Lalit Bagh, Udaipur provided an elegant backdrop for the celebrations. Its blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury allowed each function to have a distinct identity while maintaining a cohesive atmosphere throughout the wedding.

Wedding Planning
One of the most remarkable aspects of the wedding was the coming together of two worlds. With guests travelling from Dubai, Spain, and several other parts of the world, the celebrations carried an international spirit while remaining deeply intimate. Working closely with the couple, Studio Eventz ensured that every event felt welcoming and personal despite the scale of the gathering. Families connected effortlessly, friends from different countries quickly found common ground, and conversations flowed naturally across cultures and generations. At no point did it feel like two sides coming together formally. Instead, it felt like one large family celebrating together, a sentiment that became the defining spirit of the wedding.

Wedding Functions
Haldi
The festivities began with a vibrant haldi ceremony that embraced the joy and spontaneity of the occasion. Decorated with fresh marigolds, bright florals, and cheerful yellow accents, the setting felt lively and inviting from the moment guests arrived. The celebration unfolded naturally, with family members pulling one another onto the dance floor, cousins creating moments of playful chaos, and laughter echoing through the venue. There was an ease to the event that made it feel genuine and unfiltered, exactly as the couple had envisioned.
As the afternoon progressed, the celebrations transitioned into an intimate high tea, allowing guests to slow down, reconnect, and soak in the warmth of the days ahead.

Tropical Night Dinner
As evening descended, the atmosphere shifted for a Tropical Night Dinner that brought a fresh energy to the celebrations. Lush foliage, layered textures, statement décor installations, and ambient lighting transformed the venue into a vibrant yet sophisticated party setting. The evening felt relaxed and lively in equal measure. Guests moved effortlessly between conversations, dancing, and entertainment as music filled the palace grounds. What stood out most was the way people connected. Friends and family from different countries came together seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that felt less like a formal wedding function and more like a shared celebration of togetherness.

Carnival
One of the standout celebrations of the wedding, Fiesta De Amor perfectly captured Rhea and Pelesh’s spirited personalities. Set against the grandeur of the palace, the afternoon unfolded like a lively carnival where guests were welcomed with fresh coconut water, seasonal fruits, and tropical beats. The festivities began with the couple’s grand arrival in a flower-adorned white horse buggy, accompanied by traditional dhol artists and an electrifying flash mob of international performers, instantly setting the mood for an afternoon of uninhibited revelry.
Thoughtfully designed to be as immersive as it was entertaining, the carnival featured interactive personalisation stations, live performances, playful games, and an indulgent spread of gourmet street food before transitioning into a relaxed alfresco welcome lunch. Bringing together loved ones from across the globe, Fiesta De Amor was more than a pre-wedding celebration. It was an afternoon of shared laughter, meaningful reunions, and unforgettable moments that beautifully set the tone for the festivities to come.

Sangeet
A dramatic stage setup, immersive lighting, and thoughtfully designed production elements created the perfect backdrop for a night of performances and heartfelt moments. Family dances, speeches, and surprise acts celebrated years of shared memories while creating new ones in the process.
While the evening carried all the glamour expected of a destination wedding sangeet, it was the personal moments woven throughout the programme that left the strongest impression. As the formal performances concluded, the celebrations naturally flowed into an after-party that kept guests on the dance floor late into the night.

Wedding
After several days of festivities, the wedding ceremony brought a welcome sense of calm. The décor embraced understated elegance, with soft florals, warm lighting, and refined details creating a setting that felt timeless and intimate. As Rhea made her entrance, the atmosphere shifted. The scale of the destination wedding seemed to fade away, leaving behind a moment that felt deeply personal for the couple and their families. From the varmala to the pheras, every ritual unfolded with sincerity and emotion. Quiet exchanges between the couple, knowing smiles, and emotional reactions from loved ones became some of the most memorable moments of the day.

Reception
The celebrations concluded with a reception that embraced contemporary elegance and effortless glamour. Refined décor, ambient lighting, and sophisticated styling created the perfect setting for the final evening of festivities. Guests arrived dressed for the occasion as music, conversations, and celebrations once again filled the venue. Stylish, lively, and heartfelt, the reception served as a fitting finale to a celebration that had brought together families, cultures, and countless unforgettable moments over several days.
