Roshni and Noorsimran Sanghera, Hotel Lakend, Udaipur
An enchanted forest transformed into a sophisticated dining space for this wedding that culminated in two wedding ceremonies
Roshni and Simran met as classmates at the University. Between shared lectures and small talk, the friendship turned into a five-year rollercoaster romance, proving that love, patience, and a few hilarious mishaps can lead to something truly special. Their shared love for meaningful experiences, travel, and celebration made their wedding, planned and executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Shaandaar Events, a true reflection of who they are—vibrant, thoughtful, and unforgettable.

Wedding Planning
Karan Bains of Shaandaar Events says, “From the moment Roshni and Simran shared their vision, I knew this wedding would be one for the books—a celebration where each event felt like a new chapter in their love story, distinct in mood yet bound together by a thread of elegance.”
The celebrations began with a sangeet set in a dream-like enchanted forest with cascading foliage overhead, crystal chandeliers shimmering like drops of moonlight, delicate pink blooms, and soft golden glows. The reception embraced the poise of UK-style sophistication, with sleek black linens, ivory satin runners, dramatic black chairs, and towering white florals in candelabras—all set beneath a blush-toned canopy of chandeliers, mirrored by the gentle glow of the lakeside sunset.
“It was more than just décor; it was a journey through worlds they loved, woven seamlessly into the moments they’ll cherish forever,” says Karan.

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The celebrations began with the mehendi. With a vibrant garden romance theme, a palette of blush, lavender, and fuchsia wrapped the space in lush florals and whimsical oversized blooms. A blush-toned lounge nestled amid cascading flowers created the perfect frame for candid moments, while patterned pink flooring and delicate lavender details brought a playful charm. It was a celebration bathed in colour, joy, and lighthearted elegance.

Haldi
The celebrations continued with a Haldi that captured the romance of a Santorini-Mediterranean escape—crisp whites, cobalt blues, and the radiant warmth of turmeric spilling into every corner.
The vibe was sunlit, breezy, and full of warmth—celebrating love with splashes of yellow, ocean blues, and the rustic elegance of seaside towns.

Sangeet
For the Sangeet, the venue was transformed into an enchanted forest. Cascading foliage draped the ceiling, crystal chandeliers sparkled like drops of moonlight, and delicate pink blooms peeked through the greens. Soft golden lighting bathed the space in warmth, while the stage glowed against a backdrop of twinkling lights. Unmissable were the pink giraffe installations that added a sense of whimsy to the evening.

Reception
The reception embraced UK-style sophistication, where timeless elegance met lakeside romance. Sleek black linens paired with ivory satin runners created a striking contrast, while dramatic black chairs framed each table with poise. Towering white florals in ornate candelabras added grandeur, and the blush-toned canopy overhead, adorned with chandeliers, bathed the evening in a soft, romantic glow—perfectly mirrored by the serene lake.

Wedding
Roshni’s and Simran’s wedding unfolded in two beautiful chapters. The day began in the serene sanctity of the gurdwara, where their Anand Karaj felt as personal as a prayer – just close family, sacred vows, and an atmosphere wrapped in warmth and quiet joy. Every glance, every smile carried the grace of a love rooted in meaning.
As night fell, the celebration transformed into a fairytale by the lake. Beneath a pastel-draped, golden-arched mandap adorned with intricate sculpted peacocks and cascading blooms, they exchanged garlands. Oversized swaying drapes framed the moment, while warm lights danced on the water, creating the magical, romantic scene they had always envisioned.
