Wedding Planning
I’m not looking for loud décor or functions but more tasteful and visual treats for us and the guests! Please incorporate “Forever & Always” into the decor, it’s what Abhimanyu and I believe in for our relationship and standby for.
The couple envisioned a celebration that was intimate and personalized with intricate details and entrusted the team of Baraati Inc to breathe life into their dream wedding. Imagined with distinct themes, every function was executed by Desert Pearl Entertainment.
Rucheta shares, “For our wedding, we wanted everyone to come, have a good time, and feel involved in some way or another, so they could go back home with their tons of special memories. Also, since we were away from our families through Covid, we wanted both our families to mingle with each other, bond, and have fun as much as they could. From including personal touches in the decor and festivities to planning thoughtful wedding favors, and more, Baraati Inc created an unforgettable experience for us and our families. They even ensured my fur baby, who was in the US and couldn’t be with me during such an important event, was included in the celebration. Our wedding was as beautiful as it was meaningful, and we are grateful to our wonderful team of wedding experts curated by our planners Baraati Inc. for making it happen.”
The festivities were captured by the team of Gautam Khullar Photography.
Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The couple and their guests arrived to a grand Rajasthani welcome by Suryagarh, riding camels and elephants as local dancers and musicians serenaded them. Kicking off the festivities was a relaxed mehndi soiree with chic, boho decor, henna artists, delicious drinks, traditional performers, and fun activities. The decor of macrame art, rattan furniture, plush pampas grass, local bajra sticks, and more added to the rustic yet modern setup. The bride wowed in a custom patchwork lehenga made by her aunt, each color of which inspired the matching outfits her squad wore for the event. Talk about BFF goals!
Sangeet
The evening Sangeet was glamor galore with a spectacular open-air function. The decor was imagined in a plush, unique palette of lavender and emerald green, with lush foliage and sparkling disco balls that were used to create a Tropical party oasis in the middle of the Thar Desert! Decadent furniture, eclectic neon signs and elements, interesting photo ops, and more added to the vibe, while the central stage lit up with performances by the couple and their families as the guests applauded from all sides. DJ Madoc and Percussionist JonQui imbibed the evening with their musical excellence, making it an unforgettable experience for all who witnessed it.
Haldi
The next day dawned with a sun kissed haldi celebration for the bride and groom, hosted in their respective traditions. Bright blue Rajasthani pottery lit up the space with breezy drapes, tons of marigolds, and sunflowers to paint a stunning contrast against the hotel’s sandstone facade and rolling green lawns. The groom and his family celebrated with a vibrant Rajputi ceremony, while the bride’s Sikh festivities followed up the heartwarming traditions of choora and kaleerein with her friends and family.
Wedding
Woven with the royal extravagance of Rajasthan, the Rajput wedding ceremony was a celebration of epic proportions. The dreamy decor was imagined in a rich, elegant palette of red and white, imbibed with thousands of flowers, and given a romantic edge with over 15000 candles that enveloped the venue with their glow. Coldpyro and fireworks lit up the night to mark the bride and groom’s entry, and they tied the knot under a stunning cascading canopy of roses, mogra, and bells. The highlight of the celebration was the bride’s emotional entry with her dad and uncles, the father figures who she held close to her heart. The wedding looked straight out of a fairytale.
Reception
The nuptials were followed by a regal Reception dinner to celebrate the newlyweds. The Royal Indian aesthetics and red color palette of the decor carried on to the occasion, with exquisite rugs, antique lamps, chandeliers, and framed artwork setting a decadent tone. The couple and their loved ones enjoyed an evening of music, champagne, and toasts, and the couple cut a beautiful cake that was topped with a miniature statue of the bride’s beloved pooch.
Anand Karaj
The final morning saw the hotel’s lush lawns be transformed into a pastel paradise in hues of buttercream, apricot, and peony for the Sikh wedding ceremony. Billowing drapes, cushions, and bougainvillea flowers set a relaxed, romantic ambiance for the morning function, as everyone witnessed the tranquil proceedings of the ceremony, showering the couple with petals. With guests coming in from around the world, they were also given booklets that outlined the rituals. The bride was resplendent in a summery coral lehenga, meenakari jewellery, and shimmering gold kaleerein that included motifs of her pet dog. For this occasion, she was accompanied by her mother as she walked down the aisle, making for a sweet, emotional moment.
