“Authentically us” — that was the vision Ruchita and Chirag held close as they planned their wedding. From the word go, WeddingSutra Favorite – Dream Capture Events worked closely with the couple to shape the experience, while WeddingSutra Favorite – Designer Events Inc. led the décor design, ensuring every visual detail echoed the couple’s world. Together, they crafted a celebration where the guest experience carried subtle, meaningful hints of “them.”
The couple shared stories about their travels, the cities they loved, their families, and the kind of energy they wanted around them. Their favorite memories inspired the thematic choices; their tastes shaped the décor palette, and their values guided the overall mood of the celebration.
Wedding Planning
Mishal Sanklecha of Dream Capture Events shares, “From the very first meeting we worked closely with the couple. The process began with shared conversations, long, easy meetings where the couple, planners, the entire talent team and designers sat together to dream. Ruchita and Chirag wanted their wedding to feel like them, not a replication of something seen before. The key personalizations included were custom décor elements drawn from the couple’s shared hobbies, personalized guest experiences, including welcome notes, curated favours, and interactive elements that showcased their story.”
Welcome Experience
The celebrations started with a Welcome Experience that set the tone for the days to come. Inspired by nostalgia and the simplicity of handwritten love, the mood was intentionally soft and heartfelt. The planners and designers crafted a space that felt like a gentle beginning, cascading florals, velvet drapes, vintage telephones, and postcards inviting guests to write wishes for the couple.
Moulin Rouge Night
The Moulin Rouge Night that followed was a glamorous ode to Paris, a city close to Ruchita and Chirag’s hearts. The planners and designers envisioned an evening that was bold yet romantic, with red velvet, gilded details, and chandeliers that cast a warm glow across the ballroom. The stage, inspired by the iconic windmill, became the centerpiece of the night, dramatic, elegant, and unforgettable.
Safari Brunch
The next morning brought a burst of color and freshness with the Safari Brunch -Wildly in Love. It was conceptualized as a fun, free-spirited escape that reflected the couple’s love for travel and laughter. The space came alive with earthy tones, travel-inspired accents, and lush greens that made it feel like a chic jungle retreat, filled with warmth and sunshine.
Jai Mala Ceremony
As the sun set, the Jai Mala Ceremony became one of the most emotional moments of the wedding. Planned with great thought and heart by the planners, this ceremony opened with a voiceover recorded by the bride, where she lovingly introduced her family and friends before walking down the aisle. The design carried that emotion through bold tones, handcrafted wooden hot air balloons, and glowing lights that transported the setting into Cappadocia. It represented the most magical day of their love story.
After-Party
The 90s Pop Culture After-Party was all about joy and nostalgia. The couple wanted an evening that captured their fun, dramatic personalities, and together, the teams built an experience that felt straight out of a childhood memory—vibrant, playful, and full of life. From old televisions and magazine covers to pop-inspired props, every detail celebrated the carefree energy of that era.
Wedding Ceremony
Finally, the wedding ceremony brought everything together in quiet grace. After days of laughter and color, this moment felt serene and spiritual. The mandap took the form of a blooming lotus, adorned with soft florals, pearls, and bells. It symbolized purity and new beginnings, the perfect ending to a story told through love, emotion, and art.
