Brimming with grandeur, Rudrika and Abhishankar Reddy’s dreamy destination wedding planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Ella Weddings and Events wove a story of beauty and finesse. Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned a modern, eclectic wedding that was still rooted in tradition. More than anything else, they wanted to have fun and enjoy every moment of the planning and celebration and entrusted Ella Weddings and Events to craft their dream wedding.

To shed light on the experience, Founder Mavis Fernandes of Ella Weddings and Events shares, “When we first spoke to Rudrika and Abhi, it was evident they were both very aware of fashion trends and had very quirky yet sophisticated tastes. All of their events reflected their tastes as a couple, right from the color block mehendi to the Gucci sangeet and the Hermes derby brunch. Even for the mandap they desired something offbeat and one-of-a-kind, which decor designers Team Aroosi delivered magnificently.”

Ashima Arora and Rasmeen Sawhney of Aroosi further share, “The most memorable experience of this wedding was the Sangeet night. Both Rudrika and Abhi wanted their Sangeet at the forecourt of Udaivilas. As luck would have it, we were hit by a crazy storm just before the couple’s entry as the guests were entering. From the sofa to the curtains, stage, LED setups, and more, everything was drenched and had to be shut down for fear of a short circuit. Even though things looked bleak, our groom was convinced we could turn the night around, and that is exactly what we did! Once it stopped raining, the entire event and decor team managed to do a complete revamp of the area, change the linen, replace the furniture, and clear the stage of all the water, and even though we couldn’t get the LEDs on, we gave Rudrika and Abhi the sangeet they wanted. From the couple’s entry to the dazzling performances, the night was absolutely fantastic, just like them!”

Wedding Functions
Haldi and Pellikuthuru
The festivities began with a traditional haldi and Pellikuthuru function. Paying homage to their Telugu heritage, the decor was imagined in a serene palette of white and green with tons of fresh flowers and foliage. Brass furniture, lamps, vases, and more added an ornate touch to the occasion. The couple channeled elegance in ivory ensembles as they sat in decorated urlis for the ceremony, and their friends and families doused them with haldi, water, and petals. The festivities were followed by a delicious dinner.

Mehndi
The next morning began with a mehndi soiree that was an absolute explosion of colors! From the unusual entryway to the table settings, linen, and floral arrangements, every decor detail exuded vibrance and creativity. Exotic blooms, plush parrots, monogrammed cushions, caricature artists, fun stalls, and colorful dining sections all came together to concoct a memorable morning for the couple and their loved ones. The bride and groom embraced a rustic-chic avatar with exuberant, multicolored ensembles.

Sangeet
A riveting mix of colors and entertainment, the Sangeet function revved up the energy meter of the entire getaway. The wild, maximalist decor sought inspiration from the luxury brand Gucci and combined tropical jungle vibes with plush aesthetics to put a unique twist on the cocktail function. Complete with professional artists dressed as animals, stunning performances, chic cocktails, and edgy couture, the evening was one to remember.

Brunch
High-society equestrian vibes reigned supreme for the brunch soiree the next morning, as the venue was transformed with the striking themed decor in a vibrant Hermes-inspired orange palette. Massive horse installations, floral arrangements, printed drapes, seating arrangements, and more lit up the space with the bright citrus hue as everyone enjoyed some delicious eats and mingling.

Wedding
Luxury and whimsy reached their pinnacle in the beguiling wedding ceremony as the ethereal decor of white and green enveloped the greenhouse-style venue. Clouds of flowers decked the space and led up to the magical mandap that was made with baby’s breath and 3-D petal installations. The couple dropped jaws in their striking red ensembles as they exchanged varmalas and took their vows.
