Sabrina Pervez and Anand Goyal, Myconian Collection Resorts, Greece
A wedding so luxurious, it was as much a celebration of the couple as it was a concert and a vacation for the guests.
Sabrina Pervez and Anand Goyal’s wedding in Mykonos was a celebration of a lifetime together. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – NAI I DO Weddings, their multi-day wedding was as much a celebration of the guests as it was of the couple. Through all the days, the couple ensured that tiny customized details for the guests making everyone feel truly welcome. With a music festival, synchronized swimmers, yoga breaks, and island trips, guest comfort was at the center of this wedding experience.

How They Met
Sabrina and Anand started dating when they were still in school, aged 15. However, their stories had probably begun much earlier—they were born just four days apart in the same hospital in Essex, UK. Not that they knew this when they started dating. Or the fact that they had also been best friends at nursery as children. It was a later look at childhood photos that revealed the connection! Of course, when the wedding was planned, this beautiful story became a part of a video that was shared with guests before the wedding ceremony.

Wedding Planning
Konstantinos Tsoukalas from NAI I DO says, “Every single detail was personalized and thoughtfully considered from custom arrival gifts to daily changing sweet local delicacies that were left on the pillows of every guest each night, along with a printed goodnight message from the bride and groom, and a reminder of the next day’s itinerary. Custom gift bags containing various traditional Greek snacks, corduroy custom caps embroidered with the couple’s initials, custom woven towels featuring a traditional Greek design and the couple’s names, a plug adaptor, copies of the custom 90-page wedding magazine and itinerary cards of the weekend’s events.
Entertainment was a big factor throughout the celebrations, with several different DJs, bands, live musicians, singers, dancers, synchronized swimmers, magicians, live actors and other performers brought on site for the duration of the celebrations. Each guest was assigned a butler to help with any needs they might have throughout the weekend, beyond the support already provided by the Hotel team. Special activities and excursions were organized for guests to enjoy during the downtime around wedding events, including food and olive oil tasting, yoga classes and trips into Mykonos town.”

Wedding Functions
Rehearsal Dinner
On the first day, all the guests who had arrived in Mykonos before the official wedding celebrations kicked off were invited to join the couple at the Rehearsal Dinner in the famous Mykonos town as an informal welcome to the island.
Welcome Dinner
The next day saw the entire group of 270 guests check in to the Hotel and enjoy a heartfelt welcome lunch around the infinity pool, while listening to a live harpist, and browsing through a 90-page custom wedding magazine, featuring interviews with friends and family. The Welcome Party was dedicated to Ancient Greece and saw the Hotel turn into Mount Olympus, with actors dressed as mythological Gods, live flames, mermaids performing in the infinity pool, and even the couple’s busts created as Greek statues. The floral arrangement included hydrangeas spanning different shades of blue and white and green foliage displayed in gold vases, to tie in with the Ancient Greece theme.

Music Festival
Day three began with an open-air Music Festival, inspired by a much-loved festival from the couple’s hometown. Guests were welcomed with custom festival wristbands before making their way through a lively setting filled with live band performances, global street food stalls, and a frozen cocktail bar. The relaxed, high-energy atmosphere encouraged everyone to soak in the music, reconnect with loved ones, and celebrate under the open skies.

Sangeet
As the sun set, the festivities transitioned into a vibrant Sangeet, aptly titled The Goyal Variety Show. Family and friends took to the stage with spirited performances that kept the energy soaring throughout the evening. Traditional Indian cuisine, curated by renowned TV chef Dimitris Skarmoutsos, was paired with inventive cocktails infused with Indian flavours such as mango and ginger, seamlessly tying into the celebration’s theme. The night reached an emotional high when Anand and Sabrina performed a heartfelt duet, with Sabrina at the piano and Anand on the guitar, acknowledging every member of their extended family and bridal party through a specially written song. The celebrations continued late into the night as celebrity DJ Frenzy, flown in especially for the occasion, kept the dance floor packed with his electrifying mixes.

Wedding
The vision for the Wedding Ceremony was to create an unparalleled Enchanted Garden in an area that had never been used as a wedding ceremony spot before. Filled with natural flowers, arrangements, and even bougainvillea trees along the natural pink colour palette of Mykonos, the ceremony was an extremely emotional walk down memory lane, featuring a love story found only usually in fairytales.
Prior to Sabrina’s big entrance, a video was screened to all guests, featuring a compilation of edited childhood home videos of the couple growing up together. The ceremony saw the couple share their own vows, and embrace several different wedding traditions to honor their respective cultures and heritages.

Reception Dinner
The Reception Dinner was next, and guests enjoyed a six-course fine dining menu, paired with wine. Fairy lights, multi-colour florals and a huge video wall playing a live feed of the evening further adorned the space. Fireworks lit up the night sky and an Oh-So-Greek plate smashing session was enjoyed by everyone before the grand finale. All guests returned to the Avaton Hotel infinity pool area which was transformed into a Mykonos Nightclub, with a spectacular light show, laser beams on the neighboring mountain – spelling out ‘Mr and Mrs Goyal’, hanging disco balls, dancing LED butterflies and disco themed hosting teams, ABBA tribute dancers fulfilling the true ‘Mamma Mia!’ Greek experience and a synchronized swimming performance in parallel with a pyroshow!
Anand and Sabrina also wrote individual letters, containing specific memories, anecdotes and well wishes to all 270 guests, which were then delivered to guests as they sat down at the Wedding Dinner.
