Wedding Planning
Bringing together multiple events, venues, and international guests required careful coordination and attention to detail. Wedding Functions
Maiyaan and Haldi
The celebrations continued with the Maiyaan and Haldi ceremony at the private villa where all the guests were staying. Set in an intimate and relaxed environment, the décor featured marigolds, vibrant yellow accents, colourful textiles, and comfortable seating areas that encouraged guests to gather and celebrate together. Surrounded by close family and friends, Samita and Kabir enjoyed rituals filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt moments. The villa came alive with dancing, playful traditions, and the unmistakable energy of a Punjabi celebration, creating an atmosphere that felt warm, joyful, and personal.
Speaking about the event, Rahul Kumar says, “Hosting the ceremony at the villa allowed guests to feel closely connected to every moment. It created a relaxed setting where traditions could be celebrated in a meaningful way.”
Sangeet
The Sangeet was hosted at Mi Amie, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, with sweeping views of the Museum of the Future and Dubai’s skyline providing a striking backdrop. The venue was styled with contemporary décor, sophisticated lighting, and a dynamic stage setup that reflected the energy of the evening. Guests were welcomed by a live saxophonist whose performance set the tone for the celebrations ahead. As the evening progressed, choreographed performances, live entertainment, and high-energy acts kept the excitement going throughout the night. The combination of music, performances, and spectacular views created an atmosphere that was lively, stylish, and memorable. “The Sangeet was all about creating a strong entertainment experience,” shares Rahul Kumar. “Every element was carefully planned to keep guests engaged and make the evening feel special from beginning to end.”
Anand Karaj
The Anand Karaj ceremony at the Gurudwara offered a meaningful contrast to the larger celebrations. Rooted in faith and tradition, the ceremony focused on the significance of the couple’s union and the presence of their loved ones. In a serene and sacred setting, Samita and Kabir began their married life surrounded by family and close friends. The simplicity of the ceremony allowed the emotions of the moment to take centre stage, making it one of the most heartfelt parts of the wedding.
Reception
The wedding concluded with an elegant reception held on beautifully transformed lawns. As guests arrived, they were welcomed by the soothing sounds of a live violinist, creating a refined atmosphere as the evening unfolded. The décor combined candlelit tables, elegant floral arrangements, and ambient lighting to create a sophisticated setting. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with music, conversation, and celebration as they came together for the final event of the wedding.
One of the most touching moments of the evening came when Kabir’s beloved dog, who had travelled from the UK, made a special appearance. The surprise delighted guests and added a personal touch that reflected the importance of family in all its forms.
