Sara and Siddharth, Lohagarh Fort Resort, Jaipur
A royal and colorful wedding that saw the coming together of two different cultures
Sara is from Coimbatore and Siddharth is from Mumbai. The two met in California and connected instantly. While their cultures might be different, their bond is strong. They wanted their story to be told in a royal setting and Jaipur was the perfect choice for that. Making this dream a reality was WeddingSutra Favorite – Showmania Events.
Wedding Planning
Vikas Deva of Showmania Events says that the couple wanted each wedding function to look different and reflect their personalities. “They asked for colorful and traditional décor for the mehendi, a glamorous vibe for the sangeet, a soft and elegant setup for the haldi, and a royal look for the wedding. We worked closely with them to make their dream wedding come true.”
Wedding Functions
Mehendi
It was a function that celebrated the glory of Rajasthan—bright fabrics, umbrellas, folk music, and traditional decorations created a lively vibe. The couple entered under a floral canopy, dancing to the beat of dhols. The bride was radiating joy in a green silk saree with rich borders and a multicolored pallu, and the groom stood out in a mint-green printed Jodhpuri jacket with white trousers, complementing the bride’s attire.
Sangeet
The sangeet was all about sparkle and energy. With lots of lights, mirrors, and a big stage, the venue looked like it was prepped for a mini concert. A special moment was when the bride’s cousins surprised her with a flash mob.
Haldi
Inspired by Dior-style decor, the haldi had a soft and dreamy setup. There were ivory and blush flowers, blue and yellow tones, and cane elements, giving it a clean and peaceful feel. The bride and groom entered in a vintage car, giving it a very royal feel. Color bombs, a blue sky and some enthusiastic dancing by the guests set the tone for the day, not to miss the South Indian spread for lunch.
Wedding
The bride, dressed in a classic red Kanjivaram saree, adorned with traditional gold jewelry, layered floral garlands, and temple-style makeup, was the embodiment of the South Indian bridal grace. The groom, in a cream-colored silk dhoti-kurta with a golden angavastram, matched the cultural elegance of the ceremony.
The wedding took place at a beautiful palace venue. The mandap decor was grand and royal with gold, and ivory tones with traditional flowers adding their touch of magic and fragrance to the morning. Live shehnai music added to the magic of the moment.
