Surrounded by palm-fringed beaches and sweeping views of the tropical jungles in Thailand, Agam Kals, Director at Daffodil Tissues and Shreya Gosain, tied the knot. Revelling in the bounties of nature and pampering themselves with the luxurious hospitality of Thailand, the couple’s wedding was an absolute stunner! Wedding Venue
Hosted on the scenic shores of Hua Hin, Thailand, the wedding was a treat for the eyes with its vivid colours that contrasted beautifully with the surrounding scenery. With the couple and their loved ones making the most of their time at Dusit Thani Hua Hin, everyone was at complete ease as they enjoyed Thai hospitality, delicious meals and stunning vistas. Plus, Thailand’s proximity and connectivity to India ensured the guests were fresh while flying in and out!
Wedding Planning
Planning a destination wedding at this scale needs an experienced pair of hands that can aptly guide the couple to make the right choices. Wedding Functions
Welcome Party
The celebrations kicked off with a Playboy-themed welcome party where the guests had a gala time dancing, drinking shots and enjoying the nightlife of Thailand. With pink spotlights contrasting with the black interiors of the venue, the party was the perfect way to ensure the guests mingled freely!
Haldi
The all-yellow haldi was a sunlit celebration with floral teepees that doubled up as seating areas for the couple. Sitting within brass urlis, the couple looked picture-perfect as their loved ones danced and slathered them with turmeric.
Pool Party
Shaded by tall palm trees and hosted on a lush lawn, the pool party resembled an enchanted garden with its floral theme and imitation butterflies that were artfully placed on the floral setups. With the guests sharing banter over tables adorned with floral centerpieces, they had a gala time as they explored their surroundings, sipped on coconut water and indulged in relaxing massages.
Engagement
The couple shares, “We wanted our engagement ceremony to be hosted outdoors with a bridge and lots of fireworks. Thanks to the team, that’s exactly what we got! The decor was the right balance of boho and glam with earthy as well as metallic elements being used in tandem. The guests indulged in cocktails under the starlit sky surrounded by greenery and later enjoyed a candlelit dinner.
Wedding
Hosted under the blazing sun and by the shore, the wedding was a pink-hued event that looked dreamy. Bedecked with pink and white roses and a white archway, it looked straight out of the pages of a storybook. However, the highlight of the event was Shreya’s bridal entrance as she arrived gracefully on a boat.
Reception
After the gentle colors used at the morning wedding, the reception took on a more glamorous avatar with red hues that contrasted with the dark blue evening sky. Tropical foliage, the monogram logo of the couple, a violinist, tall candlesticks and chandeliers graced the venue. The couple made a smashing entry with fireworks, cut a three-tier cake to mark the occasion and danced the night away!
