A heady mixture of everything glamorous, traditional and fun – Srishti Malik and Vikas Lokhande Malik’s wedding at Taj Fort Aguada Resort and Spa in Goa had everyone having a gala time as they revelled amidst the bounties of nature. The luxurious yet scenic venue ensured that everything looked picture-perfect as the couple embarked on a new adventure!
How They Met
The couple first crossed paths at the workplace where sparks flew instantly. However, after eight months of dating, distance came in between as the couple drifted apart to different cities to pursue their respective careers. But, fate had plans of its own as the couple reconnected and fell head over heels for each other all over again!
Wedding Venue
Located at the bustling northern side of Goa, the Taj Fort Aguada Resort and Spa was the perfect venue for the exuberant couple’s vivid festivities! Showcasing the best of the fun Goan spirit, the resort is steeped in history with a 16th-century Portuguese fort close by while giving its guests a stunning view of the gentle Arabian Sea waves. Plus, its array of indoor as well as outdoor spaces ensured that Srishti and Vikas had plenty of room to let their creativity roam free. Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Surrounded by lush Goan greenery, the couple’s outdoor mehndi featured a blue and white color palette reminiscent of Jaipur’s blue pottery style. With a backdrop printed with ethnic patterns and vibrant floral setups, the couple had a gala time as they soaked in the sun and enjoyed the salty sea air. Contrasting the cool blue tones in the decor, the couple donned yellow outfits which stood out as they playfully celebrated their union.
Cocktail
Amping up the glam levels, the sundowner cocktail flaunted hues of ivory which were offset by stunning fairy lights. Decked up with LED signages, lush greenery and pampas grass – the decor at this event exuded soft glam. After the couple played games, the night proceeded to host a stunning performance by Srishti and Vikas’ mothers. Later, the dancefloor was brimming with their loved ones as they grooved to their favourite tracks under a starlit sky.
Haldi
The next day, the morning began with a fun haldi celebration. Opting for a stunning fusion of ivory, red and yellow tones – the couple’s haldi decor was a unique one with its minimalistic approach. Seated in brass urlis, the couple had a fun time as their loved ones slathered them with haldi and showered them with flower petals.
Wedding
For their beachside wedding, the couple opted for a rose pink, lavender and ivory color palette. Overlooking the Arabian Sea, the mandap featured rustic wooden pillars and minimal floral decor along with a lavender-hued canopy. The highlight of the decor was, in fact, the entryway that greeted guests with the couple’s journey inscribed on a large wall decorated with pink-purple blooms.
