Wedding Planning
The 3-day destination wedding was hosted at the heritage Fort venue of Suryagarh in Jaisalmer. They roped in the renowned team of Krayonz Entertainment to plan and conceptualize every detail to perfection, while The Wedding Square executed all their decor concepts with unmatched finesse and creativity. A powerhouse team of vendors and entertainers came together to take their celebrations to the next level, including DJ Ganesh and the band Best Kept Secret.
Their special moments were immortalized by the team of Ombre by Harsheen Jammu.
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
Their guests arrived from all over the world to a royal welcome at Jaisalmer’s iconic Suryagarh. The couple invited their loved ones to a magical night out on the dunes, with traditional seating, local entertainment, drinks, and dancing.
Mehndi
The next day dawned with the earthy yet luxe vibe of the mehndi function, which was hosted outdoors underneath a scalloped canopy of printed drapes. The bohemian decor saw striking floral setups, quirky prints, rustic pottery, and elements inspired by the desert landscape such as cacti vases, and more. A live painting setup called for the guests’ participation, while a live bangle stall, tarot cards, custom cocktails, mehndi artists, and more, added to the experience.
Sangeet
Imbibed with the luxe glow of vintage candelabras and fairy lights, the Sangeet evening saw a confluence of plush velvet furniture, exotic blooms, and ornate decorations in jewel tones. The bride matched the regal mood in a striking gown of silver-gray with a textured bodice and layered skirt, while the groom dazzled in a tuxedo of black and gold. The evening was abundant with love and laughter as the couple and their loved ones took to the stage with show-stopping performances.
Haldi
The next day dawned with a simple yet lively Haldi ceremony. Sitting in gold urlis, the bride and groom beamed with joy as their loved ones smeared them with haldi and showered them with pink rose petals.
Wedding
Brimming with decadence but with a touch of contemporary chic, the wedding was straight out of a fairytale. The bridal entry recreated the magic of actor Kiara Advani’s bridal entry, while the rousing baraat led to the iconic bawli of Suryagarh with staggered levels for an amphitheater-style mandap and seating. Plush diwans and bolsters surrounded the steps for the guests to sit on, and roses covered everything, from the mandap to the surface of the pond.
The newlyweds changed into a svelte white gown and tuxedo respectively and made their re-appearance for the Reception, walking in amidst a show of sparklers. The evening came alive with the musical stylings of Best Kept Secret as they shared their first dance and cut the cake to tumultuous applause.
