How They Met
The couple shares, “We met in high school biology class when we were only 15—two very different people, and it was not love at first sight!” Satyam was the mischievous kid who never did his homework, while Sweksha was the teacher’s favorite. “Yet, we somehow began talking online, which led to secret meetups, and after a month of persistence from Satyam, I finally agreed to be his girlfriend. Though we didn’t initially think we were meant to be, we quickly became infatuated with each other. Despite our differences, our shared values and love for family brought us closer,” recollects Sweksha.
Satyam adds, “Our relationship wasn’t always easy; navigating high school, university, and four years of long distance was a challenge. But through it all, we realized we’d rather face the tough times together. Our loyalty and love for one another never wavered. After eight and half years together, I proposed at Mala Beach in the South of France, as the sun was setting, it was truly a dream come true.”

Wedding Planning
Heading towards the wedding planning process with complete clarity the couple was clear that they wanted each event to have a distinct theme and style. The duo shares, “We aimed to strike a balance between simplicity and capturing the true spirit of an Indian wedding. We carefully planned every detail, from games and activities to decor, to create a fun and memorable experience for our family and friends. Each event had a different Indian cuisine and our favourite dishes for everyone to enjoy. Our love for candles inspired us to incorporate candle decor at all our evening events.”

And, to capture these cherished memories, the to-be-weds chose Infinite Memories who used their sharp skills to capture ‘blink and miss’ moments that remain etched in the couple’s hearts. The ecstatic newlyweds share, “Our experience with Infinite Memories was exceptional, from start to finish. The team made us feel comfortable and ensured the process was enjoyable. They were fantastic at communication, understanding our vision, and answering all our questions. The photos and videos they’ve created perfectly capture our memories, allowing us to relive those beautiful moments again and again.”

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Hosted under the starlit sky, the mehndi and jaggo had everyone dancing energetically. While the bride got her henna done prior to the ceremony, the ladies of the wedding party had a gala time dancing to the beats and getting their palms patterned with henna. The decor was bright and colorful, capturing the essence of a traditional Indian mehndi event.

Haldi
Sweksha shares, “Guests were encouraged to wear yellow, orange, or pink, with playful on-theme glasses for everyone. This event kicked off what might be the longest-ever game of ‘joota chupai’ at a wedding!”

Sangeet
Inspired by the royal Indian gardens the sangeet featured a palette of white, gold, and silver. The dance floor became a battleground between Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, with UP claiming victory! But the true highlight was Sweksha’s moment to shine—her passion for dance lit up the night, accompanied by her favorite Indian street foods, including Maggi, making it a night to remember!

Advice For Couples
“After all is said and done, you won’t remember if every decoration was perfect or if the schedule went exactly as planned. What will stay with you are the beautiful moments captured in your photos and videos. Make sure to prioritize what’s important to you as a couple, cherish each other, and focus on those special moments, especially during the wedding ceremony. It truly is magical”, the couple advises.
