A multi-day, multi-venue celebration that was fun, intimate and grand!
When Tamanna and Shlok started planning their wedding celebrations, they had only one brief for the planners, WeddingSutra Favorite – Marrygold WCE “Make it out of the box!” And they did. From a two-day, pre-wedding celebration on the party beaches of Goa, to the grandeur of the Jio Gardens in BKC, Mumbai, this multi-day celebration had unique themes that certainly make you wish you’d got an invite!
Wedding Planning
For Tamanna’s and Shlok’s wedding, the team at Marrygold WCE wanted the two-day celebration in Goa to reflect the bride’s and groom’s personalities. The result was a sequence of interactive, high-energy events designed to surprise and involve the guests at every step.
The mood was set at the airport, where guests were handed an envelope with a custom crossword puzzle—all answers were liquor brands—setting the tone for the unexpected. Every experience was designed to surprise and pull guests out of passive celebration mode.
Wedding Functions
Cocktail Party
The cocktail party became a costume party inspired by Netflix, with guests dressed as characters from popular shows such as Bridgerton and Money Heist. The night included drinking games and a venue-wide treasure hunt, culminating in the unlocking of a secret champagne bottle. Even the bartenders and crew joined in costume, creating a fully immersive Netflix world.
Pool Party
The next day was Malibu Dreams, a pool party redefined. It was reimagined as a bold, all-pink fantasy titled ‘Malibu Dream’, where everyone arrived dressed as Barbie or Ken. With boozy games, water guns, and floating challenges, the event was vibrant and had unfiltered fun.
Engagement
The pool party was followed by The White Engagement which had a Waves & Vows theme. The engagement took the form of a boho-chic beach wedding with dreamcatchers, ivory tents, and a wild entry parade led by friends in wigs and WWE belts. The couple exchanged vows and rings at sunset, and the ceremony ended with fireworks and a live band that shifted the vibe into a fun, musical celebration.
Sangeet
In Mumbai, the festivities escalated to full-blown grandeur. ‘The Showsha Sangeet’ was a high-octane, larger-than-life celebration of dance and music. With power-packed performances, professional dancers, dramatic entries, and endless energy, the evening felt like an awards night fused with a blockbuster, the night ended on a high with DJ Aman Nagpal taking over the console, keeping the crowd on its feet till the very end.
Wedding
The wedding took place at JIO Gardens, Mumbai, a venue that perfectly captured the couple’s love for grandeur and scale. The baraat was a spectacle in itself—stationed with special effects, vibrant performers, and high-energy dancers, it was a true celebration of Indian culture, with segments showcasing Punjabi, Gujarati, and Rajasthani traditions through music and movement. The Varmala ceremony had nearly 70 professional dancers setting the stage for a majestic entry. Conceptualized around the Bhagavad Gita, the performance featured dancers dressed as Radha and Krishna, visually narrating a divine love story before the couple exchanged garlands under a sky of fireworks. The ceremony culminated in royal pheras, set to the soulful strains of a live instrumental choir band, blending tradition with timeless elegance.
