Tanvi Chandna and Sparsh Rana, Fairmont Jaipur
Celebrating more than a decade of love, this intimate Jaipur wedding came alive with a blend of timeless elegance and Punjabi flair!
Mumbai-based actors Tanvi Chandna and Sparsh Rana’s destination wedding was an ode to their 14 years of love, friendship, and everything in between. Framed by the majestic beauty of Jaipur, their festivities unfolded with striking decor, carefully-curated menus, and unique personal touches that celebrated the essence of their personalities and their unshakable bond!
How they met
Tanvi and Sparsh, actors based in Mumbai, began their journey as high school sweethearts, crossing paths fourteen years ago. He led the theatre club while she showcased her talent as a dancer. Their connection sparked when she borrowed a T-shirt from him, prompting him to ask for her number. This innocent exchange marked the beginning of their relationship. After navigating a long-distance romance for several years, they turned their focus toward a shared dream of becoming professional actors, ultimately deciding to pursue that ambition together in Mumbai. The rest, as they say, is history.
The Proposal
Sparsh proposed in the stunning Maldives, where he had meticulously planned an extravagant proposal on a secluded sandbank, with the resort handling all the details for an ultra-private experience. He shares, “Shortly before the proposal, I and Tanvi watched an episode of Koffee with Karan, where Ranveer shared the story of his own sandbank proposal to Deepika. Exactly mirroring my own plans, it instantly made me nervous about spilling the surprise! I was positively sweating bullets.”
He continues, “On a parallel note, since I was aware of how unpredictable weather can be in Maldives, I had prepared a backup plan, with a bag of extra decorations to set up indoors, just in case. Little did I know, I would end up needing it! When the water became too rough to reach the sandbank, I quickly pivoted and assembled everything at a different, secluded beach with the help of the hotel staff. Tanvi even has a hilarious recording of me, drenched in the rain, wearing a raincoat, and making hearts in the sand. Ultimately, despite the chaos, the proposal turned out to be even more intimate and meaningful, as I poured my heart into every detail.”
Wedding Planning
Tanvi shares, “When envisioning our venue, we sought a space that was both intimate and steeped in tradition. Each of our guests has played a significant role in our lives over the years, and we wanted them to be deeply woven into the fabric of our celebration. We of course wanted the pomp and splendor of a Big, Indian wedding, without feeling distant from our loved ones.
Being very traditional and rooted in culture, Sparsh and I decided we wanted the nostalgia and intimacy of an old-school ‘ghar ki shaadi’ style wedding, where everyone could gather under one roof, sharing in each moment together, while also preserving the grandeur. After exploring many options, we discovered that Fairmont Jaipur offered the ideal combination of luxury and warmth, with ample rooms for our guests, while also giving us that boutique experience we desired!”
While the duo share many similarities, yet their tastes differ in some ways. Sparsh envisioned a classy and elegant celebration, while Tanvi desired a touch of Punjabi flair. Their goal was to blend both styles seamlessly for their wedding. The team of Wedbrew Experiences planned the details, while Pitara Events designed and executed the decor. The talented team of Ombre by Harsheen Jammu capture their special moments.

Wedding

The decor designer, a friend of the groom, transformed the mandap into a vibrant blooming flower, with cascading leaves serving as the seating, all elegantly positioned over a shimmering pool, like a lotus floating on a lake.

The bride’s ‘kaleerein’ toss to her friends also went down as one of the most memorable moments.

Advice to couples
“Planning a wedding always brings up different views and ideas, but it is a celebration of you and your partner, and it cannot be ‘my way or the highway’. When you welcome each other’s ideas and put it all together, something magical comes out of it! Also, don’t get caught up in perfecting every detail. Trust your vendors with your ideas, and be open to the surprises that come your way, welcoming the beautiful plan the universe has in store for you.”
