Twinkle and Aniket, Thailand
From a joint entry in a tuk tuk, to the bride sailing to the pheras venue, Aniket & Twinkle's wedding was a quirky, classy affair.
Aniket proposed to Twinkle at a venue high above the glittering lights of London, and they hosted a fun wedding in tropical Thailand. The charming moments of the celebrations were captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Priyam Parikh Pictures, and another WeddingSutra Favorite – DJ AJ made everyone dance to his hits.
How They Met
“Aniket and I were in the same school, and we reconnected years in the UK when I was studying in London, and he was pursuing a course in Warwick. Two acquaintances in a strange land was enough reason for us to meet regularly. Over many dates, we found a special place in each other’s hearts. After dating for four long years, I decided to marry my best friend.”
The Proposal
“London was our first stop during our Euro trip. Aniket and I decided to go to The Shard for a couple of drinks and some nibbles. As soon as we reached the place, he surprised me by taking me to the 69th floor and proposed to me with a beautiful ring in his hand. The place had breathtaking views, and was dazzling with candles, and decorated with flowers.”
Wedding Venue
Twinkle shares, “We wanted our wedding to be somewhere exotic yet accessible by our loved ones flying in from various parts of the world. We wanted a luxurious but not over the top venue that was spacious and offered an ocean view. Dusit Thani Hua Hin in Thailand ticked all the boxes. We fell in love with the property the moment we saw it, thanks to its expansive outdoor and indoor spaces leading to the beachfront.”
Wedding Functions
Sangeet
The wedding festivities commenced with a grand sangeet function that was all about fresh blooms and festive spirits. The couple’s fun entry in a tuk-tuk with pyro shots lighting up the place was a hit. They coordinated their outfits, with Twinkle wearing a powder pink Anushree Reddy lehenga, and Aniket donning a matching pink Kunal Rawal jacket over a white kurta-pajama set.
Pool Party
The couple entered the vibrant pool party venue on all-terrain vehicles. Twinkle looked chic in her pastel blue ensemble, and the duo were welcomed by girls wearing marine uniforms. The function ended on a high note with the bride and the guests taking a dip in the pool.
Cocktail
The cocktail night was a glittering affair with gleaming lights and chandeliers. All eyes were on the couple dancing on a romantic number, and Aniket aced the formal look in a black tuxedo, and Twinkle provided a beguiling contrast in her white gown by Gaurav Gupta. The highlight of the evening was singer Sukhbir Singh making the baraatis dance to his popular tracks.
Wedding
Their day started early with the haldi ceremony where the bride flaunted a bright yellow dress with mirror work. Their wedding venue was beautifully decorated with white and pink flowers for the evening function. Twinkle made a memorable entry on a boat, wearing a traditional Sabyasachi Mukherjee red lehenga. Aniket, on the other hand, picked a bluish-grey sherwani by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Reception
The finale to the grand wedding was the reception party, where the highlight was a vertical garden decorated with lush greens and fresh flowers. A chair hanging on the vertical grass wall made for a perfect-picture spot. Twisha wore a rose pink Gaurav Gupta gown, and Aniket looked regal in a blacking sherwani by Manish Malhotra which was paired with a stole that matched the bride’s ensemble.
Advice For Couples
“Make a checklist, stick to a plan, and book everything way in advance, including your outfits, so you don’t have to settle for things at the last moment. Don’t get too involved on your big day and enjoy your time together with your close ones.”
