Hosting their festivities amidst the old-world elegance of Portugal, the couple turned to Morani and Soorma to design and orchestrate their dream wedding. Every occasion was bedecked with enchanting decor that softly accentuated the natural beauty and charisma of the venues.
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The festivities commenced with an intimate, casual welcome dinner at the Mercato restaurant in Penha Longa Resort. The warm decor of orange blooms and candles set a rustic, relaxed ambiance for the guests to mingle freely, and a live band serenaded them as they relished delectable cuisine. The dinner was followed by an after-party, ensuring a lively start to the wedding celebrations.
Poolside Lunch and Phera Ceremony
The next day began with a leisurely poolside lunch, where guests gathered to bask in the warm ambiance and savor delicious culinary offerings, after which the phera ceremony was hosted at the majestic heritage venue of Palácio do Correio-Mor, an imposing Baroque-era residence on the outskirts of Lisbon. The occasion exuded an aura of intimacy, with minimal yet elegant decor complementing the breathtaking surroundings. The most memorable moments include the arrival of the groom in a vintage car, symbolizing timeless elegance, and the bride’s entrance, accompanied by her brothers, which added a touch of familial warmth to the proceedings.
Sangeet
The following day unfolded with the vibrant festivities of the Sangeet, set against the picturesque backdrop of the palace courtyard. A profusion of green foliage and white blooms along with candles lent an understated elegance to the space. Guests were treated to captivating performances by family members, with renowned singer Jeffrey Iqbal adding to the enchantment of the evening.
Church Ceremony
The celebrations were then transported to the historic Belém Church for the solemnity of the church ceremony. Here, amidst the timeless grandeur of the church, the couple exchanged vows in a deeply meaningful and intimate ceremony.
