Zeel Nanavati and Harsh Goel, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa

Celebrating almost a decade of love together, high-school sweethearts Zeel Nanavati and Harsh Goel stepped into their next chapter with an intimate beach wedding at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa. Brimming with colors and memorable touches, the festivities were planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Weddingwale.

How They Met
Zeel first came across Harsh in grade 12 at the tender age of 17! Introduced by common friends, they started talking and before long became the best of friends. It was during Undergraduate studies, however, that Harsh expressed his feelings to Zeel and although she was initially hesitant to take the leap from friendship, they officially started dating after his adorable efforts to make her fall in love with him. After they revealed their relationship to their parents, it took years for everyone to get on board. Finally, after 9 years of togetherness, they decided to make their relationship official with the blessings of their loved ones.

Wedding Venue
The couple and their families dreamed of a lively beach wedding, and after some research, they zeroed in upon the stunning ocean-front property of Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa as the perfect venue.

Wedding Planning
With the wedding taking place during the second wave of Covid, the couple needed their planner to keep all health and safety concerns as top priority while also giving them the celebration of their dreams. They turned to The Weddingwale to pull it all together who did not let them down. They share their experience, “The Weddingwale stitched together our perfect wedding by being on their toes from day one while taking care of the minutest details. They understood that it wasn’t just about the guests, the decor or the food, but also about how the bride and groom wanted to remember their special moments, and they gave us everything we wanted and more!”

The decor was executed by Crosscraft Goa, and their priceless moments were captured by the remarkable team of 35mm Candids.

Wedding Functions
Haldi
The sunny outdoor Haldi put a fresh contemporary spin on the ritual with a fun blend of traditional and contemporary decor. Along with the customary marigold wreaths and arrangements, a canopy of gold and pink, colorful corners and quirky accents set a lively tone, while Dhol beats, phoolon ki Holi and more, had everyone reveling to their hearts’ content!

Sangeet
The scintillating Sangeet function reflected rousing performances and musical celebrations. Shimmering tinsel and crystal canopies bathed in mystical blue and purple lights beautifully reflected the celestial theme of the evening. The bride dazzled in a delicate pink lehenga with bling and feathers by Falguni and Shane Peacock, while the groom donned an edgy tuxedo.

Carnival
Inspired by Cirque du Soleil, the carnival function saw high-octane festivities with a rain dance, professional performers in colorful carnival costumes, exciting cocktails and rousing music! The couple entered in style amidst smoke bombs and dancers for a morning of unrestrained fun and revelries, while the vibrant decor of tropical blooms, a beer canoe and quirky props set a party mood. Beach cabanas covered the space for guests to relax and enjoy.

Wedding
The sunset pheras spelt all shades of royalty with spectacular floral decor, awe-inspiring choreographed entries, fireworks over the ocean and more. The couple exchanged garlands and tied the knot under a breathtaking flower-dome mandap, while displays of cold pyro and colorful sparklers lit up the night sky to bless their union.
