Childhood sweethearts, Aashika Saju and Udhav Tulsyan hosted their union by the shores of the Bay of Bengal at Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort & Spa. Spanning two days, the celebrations were planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Wedding Wows who flawlessly planned the union while echoing the couple’s artistic sensibilities at every event.

Wedding Planning
Udhav, an art enthusiast along with Aashika wanted their wedding to be a reflection of their personalities. Siddharth Ganeriwal from Wedding Wows shares, “From the get-go, Udhav and Aashika were hands-on with every little detail of their wedding, sharing anecdotes and precious moments that could be woven into the wedding. Spanning two days and two hotels, the event required flawless planning, which the team nailed with seamless logistics, guest management, and smooth function flow.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
Commencing the festivities was a haldi celebration for the groom. Hosted on a vast lawn, the sunlit haldi gave the guests endless sea views as they playfully slathered the groom with a turmeric mixture.
Sangeet
Siddharth shares, “The evening buzzed with a neon-themed Sangeet. Guests strolled through a tunnel of pop colors, getting a peek into the couple’s love story. Photos lined the walls, and cute neon signs marked special words and places, weaving the tale that started in high school. A live band had everyone grooving to retro and contemporary hits, ending the night on a high note.”
Church Wedding
Since childhood, bride Aashika had dreamed of a purple-themed wedding. The seaside church venue and wedding lunch at Taj Fisherman’s Cove made her dream a reality. The morning began with a radiant bride heading to the Church, followed by a lavender-themed lunch on the lush lawns of the hotel. The couple entered to the soothing tunes of a harp player, with champagne toasts, laughter, and joy all around.
Hindu Wedding
All-white decor with crystal birds and glass lanterns twinkled at twilight, creating a dreamy mandap on the sandy beach. The white and crystal decor sparkled against the sea and sand, perfect for Aashika and Udhav’s Hindu wedding, complete with a ‘Two States’ theme. Going for a chic and beachy vibe, the couple opted for an acrylic mandap decked out in white and green, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings. Large white floral installations, a glass walkway for the couple and their pet dogs, and floating flower petals added to the ethereal feel. The solemn ceremony paved the way to the finale, where a live band had everyone on their feet with Bollywood hits and setting the dance floor ablaze.
