Aashvi and Akash, Della Resorts, Lonavala
Elemental themes, serene pastel hues, and artfully layered decor - this couple’s wedding at Lonavala was nothing less than a fairytale!
Set against the serene hills of Lonavala, Aashvi and Akash’s wedding was an ode to intentionality, emotion, and elegant storytelling. Every chapter of their celebration was brought to life by a team of passionate collaborators. WeddingSutra Favorite – KKings Events ensured the planning felt effortless, orchestrating each detail with precision and warmth. WeddingSutra Favorite – Knotie Production transformed the couple’s aesthetic into immersive, layered designs that felt both intimate and grand. On the other hand, WeddingSutra Favorite – Fireflies lent a distinct visual texture to each setting, infusing spaces with atmospheric charm and thoughtful nuance. Capturing it all with poetic intimacy was WeddingSutra Favorite – Raabta by Shrey Bhagat, who preserved each fleeting moment in frames that felt timeless.
How They Met
Their story began with a brief, formal introduction —one that seemed unremarkable at first glance. But a spark had been lit. “There was something in the way we said goodbye that lingered,” Aashvi shares. A chance dinner in Bengaluru a few weeks later gave their connection room to breathe, and in that quiet, something enduring began.
Wedding Venue
For a couple seeking a space that mirrored serenity, intimacy, and understated grandeur, Della Resorts in Lonavala emerged as the natural choice. Cradled in nature yet equipped for a grand celebration, the resort offered the perfect canvas for their emotionally rich, aesthetically nuanced wedding. “We wanted a setting that felt like home, but with the soul of a sanctuary. Della was that and more,” Akash reflects. The expansive landscapes, elegant architecture, and seamless hospitality made it the ideal destination for their celebration in December.
Wedding Planning
With a shared vision anchored in depth and creativity, Aashvi and Akash approached their wedding as an experience, not just an event. “Akash dreams in sweeping visions, and I live in details,” Aashvi laughs. Together, they curated a celebration inspired by the four elements: Earth was honoured through a tree plantation drive before the festivities began, a gesture that grounded their union in purpose and legacy. Water made its presence felt through the haldi ceremony, where tranquil blues, airy linens, and gentle energy transformed the space into a sanctuary. Fire infused the sangeet with intensity and sparkle—dramatic lighting, heartfelt performances, and an electric atmosphere. Air was evoked in the wedding ceremony itself, where soft drapes billowed in the breeze, flute melodies floated through the air, and everything felt lifted by something unseen yet deeply felt.
Eco-conscious choices, handwritten notes for each guest, and countless personal touches brought soul to every detail. Mubaarak Studio crafted invitations that felt like keepsakes—each page a miniature journey. The vision was translated into breathtaking reality by Knotie Production and Fireflies, while KKings Events brought it all together with intuitive ease. Thoughtfully curated gift hampers by Aarti’s Kitchen added a layer of warmth and indulgence, reflecting the couple’s love for meaningful gifting. “My lehenga had our wedding date and ‘Aku’s Bride’ stitched into its folds,” Aashvi shares. Every outfit felt like a second skin. The Photography team Raabta by Shrey Bhagat captured fleeting glances and forever moments.

Wedding Functions
Pooja
Amid fragrant marigolds and the soft echo of hymns, the festivities began with a quiet pooja. Dressed in pastel elegance, Aashvi and Akash were portraits of serenity. “It felt like a pause before the crescendo,” Aashvi recalls. The simplicity of the ritual set a deeply spiritual tone for the days to come.

The Masquerade Ball
Opulence met mystique at this emerald-hued celebration. The ballroom shimmered under candlelight. Guests in bespoke masks danced the night away to energetic beats. “It felt like a fantasy—European, moody, magical,” shares Akash.
Sakh Path
Bathed in soft florals and familial warmth, the Sakh Path was intimate and sacred. Styled with timeless simplicity, the couple embraced tradition with grace. “It was less about spectacle and more about spirit,” Akash reflects. Every gesture felt intentional—rooted in legacy, surrounded by love.
Gala Dinner
Under twinkling lanterns at Villa-Bistro, the couple hosted a Tuscan-inspired al fresco dinner. Each guest received a handwritten letter; stories, toasts, and games filled the air. “It was deeply personal—just us and the people who built our world,” says Aashvi.
Haldi
A kaleidoscope of colour and culture, the haldi was a burst of vibrant joy. From Kalbelia dancers and interactive games to quirky corners like lipstick bars and block-print stalls, every element delighted. “It was tradition with a twist—just how we like it,” Aashvi smiles.
Sangeet
With regal drapes and glinting chandeliers, the sangeet unfolded like a musical opera. Family and friends performed with heart. The energy peaked with a live set by Bombay Rockers. “Every emotion found its beat,” recalls Akash. It was a night of music, movement, and memory.
Wedding
On a sun-dappled morning, beneath a mandap dressed in gold and blooms, Aashvi and Akash said their vows. Akash’s dramatic baraat entry atop a vintage truck brought a roar of celebration, while the pheras remained gentle and sacred under soulful chanting. “It was joy, ceremony, and stillness, all at once,” says Aashvi. As the after-party ebbed into the early morning light, what lingered was more than festivity—it was the feeling of a love that had come home. Golden, rooted, and made for forever.
