Aayushi Purohit and Keshav Parikh, Andaz Party Lawn, Ahmedabad
Inspired by the bride’s bright fuschia pink outfit, this mehndi celebration was a floral fantasy come true!
USA-based Aayushi Purohit and Keshav Parikh’s wedding was nestled in lush greenery that surrounded their family’s farmhouse. Orchestrating this wedding while staying in tandem with the natural beauty that surrounded them was WeddingSutra Favorite – Celibraze Events & Entertainment.
Wedding Planning
Meet & Vruti Shah from Celibraze Events & Entertainment shares, “The bride had requested a decor aesthetic that was in tandem with her outfits. Inspired by her wedding wardrobe we planned the color scheme for each event. For example, her outfit had anthurium prints for the haldi, so we also designed the same for her backdrop. All the designs were made by us from the get-go via multiple sketches and mock-ups. For the sangeet and mehndi at the family’s farmhouse, we were inspired by the rawness of the nature surrounding the venue.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The mehndi decor took a cue from the bride’s vibrant outfit featuring various shades of fuschia which were interspersed with orange, peach and lavender. Arches crafted out of blooms and foliage welcomed the guests while vintage rattan tables were adorned with cane baskets full of flowers.
Sangeet
Meet shares, “The sangeet was based on a ‘Gold and Glitter’ theme. Hosted at the family’s farmhouse, size constraints were one of the few challenges we faced while orchestrating this event. However, we designed it in a manner that gave guests an immersive experience. We used glass props of different colours and arrangements in the whole entryway tunnel which also doubled up as a photo booth.”
Haldi
Meet shares, “For the Haldi we took a cue from the bride’s outfit which featured artistic floral prints. Marigolds, backdrops inspired by anthuriums, floral arches and brass vases brimming with blooms made for the perfect setup. Drapes in soft yellow and sea green hues sheltered the guests from the sun as they playfully slathered the couple with haldi.”
Wedding
Traditions took the front seat on the big day with a decor that was classic and serene. Pink and white hues cut a stunning contrast with the lush greenery of the venue. The mandap featured cutwork designs and suspended florals. The varmala took place during sunset and Aayushi’s bridal entry was punctuated by the chiming of miniature bells rung by the guests.
