How They Met
“We initially met through our families, but after meeting, we realised we had a couple of common friends, which really helped break the ice,” shares Akanksha. “Irrespective of that, it never felt like we were strangers to each other. There was a certain comfort from day one, and we didn’t really have to try hard to enjoy each other’s company.” That ease set the tone for everything that followed.

Wedding Planning
When it came to photography, the couple knew exactly who they wanted. “We are so, so glad that we went ahead with Happyframes for our wedding photography,” Akanksha says. “They are just amazing. They literally translated everything we imagined into photographs. They understood the assignment so well. It’s unbelievable.” Their ability to intuitively capture the couple’s vision ensured that every event was preserved with authenticity and finesse.

Wedding Functions
Mehendi and Mata Ki Chowki
The celebrations began with an intimate Mehendi and Mata Ki Chowki, centred around close family. The décor was understated and serene, allowing rituals and blessings to take centre stage.

Haldi
Set against a pastel palette for family and friends, the Phoolon Ki Haldi was infused with colour and character, with Akanksha and Rishabh standing out in vibrant pink ensembles. Sunflowers were featured prominently in the décor to bring warmth and cheer to the setting. “We added a swing to the décor because Rishabh and I used to go for walks in a park where we’d sit on the swings and talk for hours,” Akanksha shares. “It felt like a very personal memory to bring into the celebration.” A gola cart, inspired by Rishabh’s love for gola, became an instant hit, adding a playful, nostalgic touch that guests thoroughly enjoyed.

Engagement and Sangeet
The Engagement and Sangeet embraced a high-energy ‘Glitz and Glam’ theme. Designed for dancing, celebration, and sparkle, the décor set the mood for a lively evening. Akanksha’s love for the moon inspired a striking moon prop with LED lights for the couple seating, complete with the words ‘To the Moon & Back’, a romantic focal point that perfectly captured the spirit of the night.

Wedding
For the wedding ceremony, the couple envisioned something traditional and emotionally rooted. The décor reflected this beautifully, with a tree mandap adorned with cascading white and pink floral hangings. Organic yet elegant, the mandap stood as the soul of the ceremony. “The whole tree was just a vibe,” Akanksha recalls.
