Akansha Jain and Avi Goenka, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai
This couple’s pink and white wedding mandap with silver accents gently fused soft glamour with romance.
Resilient and determined to celebrate their love, Akansha Jain and Avi Goenka’s wedding at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai was an ode to their relentless love. Hosted at the venue’s spacious and plush indoor venues, this union overcame the chaos of changing dates and uncertain times to be celebrated in a regal manner. And, ensuring that nothing was off the mark and the wedding stayed true to the couple’s original vision was WeddingSutra Favorite – The Event Casa who took charge of planning the wedding.
Wedding Venue
An iconic hotel on the shores of Mumbai overlooking the Arabian Sea, The Taj Mahal Palace is known for its luxurious accommodations and sprawling in-house venues that allow your creativity to unfurl. For Akansha and Avi, this hotel was ideal for a quiet celebration amidst their loved ones.
Wedding Planning
Ashi Jain and Shobhit Jain from The Event Casa share, “The couple wanted a fun wedding and they also wanted their loved ones to have the time of their lives! Initially, the wedding was slated to happen in Goa but due to the pandemic, the plans were changed to Mumbai where they could celebrate their love safely.” Enjoying themselves thoroughly at the plethora of indoor venues that The Taj Mahal Palace had to offer, Akansha and Avi had a gala time revelling in luxury while being reassured of their loved ones’ well-being.
Weddings Functions
Cocktail
With a foliage-adorned backdrop that was lit up with an LED sign with their wedding hashtag, the cocktail party was an absolute hit! To kick off the celebrations, the couple popped a bottle of champagne and poured it atop a champagne tower. After this, there was no stopping them as they danced the night away.
Sangeet
Giving fun the topmost priority, the couple’s sangeet looked straight out of a Bollywood flick with its grandeur. Furnished with a huge stage backed by an LED backdrop, the couple were cheered on by their guests as they danced to their favourite tunes under the spotlight.
Haldi
Brimming with bright marigolds that contrasted beautifully with the lush green foliage, the haldi exuded whimsical as well as traditional vibes. And, adding a metallic gleam to the decor were brass diya stands that flanked the couple as they were slathered in haldi.
Wedding
A floral extravaganza with a pink colour palette filled with roses, the wedding exuded pure romance. While a floral archway and a corridor with suspended blooms welcomed the guests, the mandap inspired awe! Decorated with an ombre wall crafted entirely of roses, flanked by silver pots and canopied by a ceiling that was fragrant with jasmine and lotus blooms – the mandap gave the couple’s phere a beautiful backdrop. Ashi Jain shares, “We also planned the silent baraat and a heartwarming entry of our bride where she carried her handprints towards the mandap made for her mom as a keepsake.”
