Aksha and Hemanth, Goa
Aksha and Hemanth's Goa wedding was all about simplicity and soulful bonding with loved ones.
Aksha and Hemanth’s wedding in Goa was all about giving their loved ones a fun and relaxed experience. The gorgeous wedding was planned to perfexion by WeddingSutra Favorite – Shaadi Squad and all the elegant festivities were captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Salad.
How They Met
“Hemanth and I share a few mutual friends and were introduced to each other by them. We got along almost instantly, and eventually, our bond grew into a relationship that was backed by love and appreciation for each other.”
Wedding Planning
“Both of us were very involved in the wedding planning process, and feel so lucky that our families trusted us and gave us the freedom to make all the decisions. What really worked in our favor was the fact that our preferences and tastes matched a fair deal. We both envisioned an elegant, simple and laid-back affair – much like the kind of people we are – our common goal was to give our loved ones a relaxed time. Not only did we manage to achieve this with the help of the team at Shaadi Squad, but we also thoroughly enjoyed the wedding too! Our celebrations were photographed by The Wedding Salad and we couldn’t have made a better choice! We felt like they understood our sensibilities and we were able to build a good rapport with the team.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
“With Hemanth’s haldi ceremony began our wedding festivities. This was an intimate affair with a simple yet charming setup. A wooden partition decorated with marigolds served as the backdrop, and brightly colored cushions along with rugs made for a cozy seating arrangement.”
Mehendi
“The mehendi ceremony was a relaxed function where our nearest and dearest spent some enjoying each other’s company, and got henna designs drawn on their palms.”
Sangeet
“As the evening drew closer, the air was ripe with excitement about the performances that the sangeet had in store. This was the event where everyone enjoyed themselves the most. Once we were through with the choreographed performances, the floor was open for all, and the party went on till wee hours!”
Wedding
“With the next morning arrived the big moment that was so eagerly awaited. We wed in a traditional ceremony and the decor was designed to exude grace. The setup made use of a lot of jasmine blooms, and the monotone palate saw a few brass elements which served as golden accents to the all-white color scheme. Our mandap with its dramatic roof filled with flowing vines and flowers was the highlight of this event and received a lot of compliments.”
Reception
“For our reception, we used flowers in lavender, yellow and fuchsia hues, along with pampas grass and foliage. Instead of having chairs decorated, we brought in beautiful sofas that became design features in themselves. We also placed potted plants all over the venue and lit the space up with fairy lights. All of it came together wonderfully and looked absolutely spectacular.”
