A whirlwind romance that bloomed amidst the Pandemic, Akshita Jindal and Nikhil Aggarwal’s new journey was celebrated with a dreamy royal wedding in Jaipur. From memorable performances to unique décor and unforgettable moments, every detail of their wedding was planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Plush Weddings. How they met
The Delhi-based couple met in a traditional arranged marriage set up. The bride shared, “Nikhil had returned from his stint in the US and was looking to settle down, and I had been meeting a few prospective matches as well. But nothing had remotely clicked for either of us till then. When we crossed paths, the connection was instantaneous and inexplicable! It wasn’t long before we completely fell in love with not just each other, but our families as well, and we didn’t want to waste any time apart! Even though our wedding was a mutual decision between us and our families, Nikhil still swept me off my feet with a beautiful proposal, and I knew our lives together would always be full of such sweet moments of love.
Wedding Planning
The couple entrusted the team of Plush Weddings to pull off their dream of a royal wedding. The bride shares, “All we wanted from our wedding planner was for them to work in tandem with our ideas and execute them to perfection, and the team of Plush Weddings went above and beyond for us! The entire wedding for a total of 150 people was planned via zoom calls. Right from selecting the venue, to food and entertainment and everything else in between, it was all seamless with no hiccups! A special shout out to Ruchika of Plush Weddings, for treating us like family and making the experience so spectacular”.
She further shares, “For our photographs, it was an undisputed decision to go for Cupcake Productions, since I have always loved their work. They did a great job, and captured all our special moments beautifully”.
Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The 2 day festivities started on a high with a gorgeous Carnival themed Mehendi function! The fresh exotic décor of flowers drapes and pampas grass in soft spring hues of pink was enhanced by quirky props like flamingoes. The couple entered with a flourish flanked by professional artists flaunting colorful feathers, perfectly setting the Carnival mood. The groom’s breezy brunch jacket and chinos perfectly complemented the bride’s statement ruffle skirt and shimmer top by Gauri and Nainika.
Sangeet
The evening was witness to a stunning Sangeet full of glitz and glamour. The bride dazzled in a shimmering silver Manish Malhotra lehenga, while the groom donned a suave black outfit by Rohit Bal. The night saw stunning performances by the couple and their loved ones, while Suryaveer Hooja had everyone grooving to his act. The very talented DJ Marsh got everyone on their feet dancing till the wee hours of the morning!
Haldi
The next morning began with a vibrant Haldi function that was held separately for the bride and groom as per custom. The bride and groom were seated in an antique brass vessel, framed against a curtain of marigolds and a traditional Pichhwai painting, as they were showered with flower petals!
Wedding
The bride got her wish of a decadent, royal wedding crafted in rich hues of red, white and gold. Traditional blooms of rose and jasmine along with candles, burnished gold vases, candle-stands and other props filled the venue, while ornate carpets hung above creating a regal canopy. An elaborate Pichhwai painting of Tirupati framed for the varmalas, making for a memorable sight! However, the highlight of the evening was the musical pheras that left everyone enchanted. The couple looked stunning in coordinated outfits of peach and gold. The nuptials were followed by a formal dinner.
Advice for couples
“The only advice I would give to other couples planning their wedding is to stay true to themselves, and do what feels right for them and their loved ones, instead of chasing after other people’s expectations.”
