Anshika Gupta and Saksham Gandhi’s splendid wedding celebration grandly framed against the palatial beauty of Noor Mahal was a confluence of dazzling décor and unforgettable moments, highlights of these were captured beautifully by WeddingSutra Favorite – Oragraphy.
How they met
Although hopelessly in love today, Anshika and Saksham’s story surprisingly did not have the most promising of beginnings. Anshika shares, “We first met online through some mutual friends, and I did not take to him immediately. It was when we all met for a party together that I got drawn to him. Not only was he cute, he was great company and we spent the night dancing. Gradually we spent more and more time together and loved each other’s company. So when he proposed to me in a café, I did not hesitate for one second before saying “yes”, because in him I had found my best friend and soulmate all in one!”
Wedding Planning
The couple hosted a mesmerizing destination wedding at the luxurious and palatial Noor Mahal in Karnal, every moment of which was captured flawlessly by the very talented team of Oragraphy. Roe Events planned and executed the wedding festivities. The groom turned to Kena The Boutique for his entire wedding wardrobe, while the bride sported a range of stunning couture ensembles from different designers.
Wedding Functions
Haldi
The festivities kicked off in hues of yellow with a vibrant Haldi function bedecked with marigolds, drapes and more, peppered with pops of blue décor. Dressed in shades of yellow, the bride and groom entered amidst puffs of colorful smoke after which they were doused with turmeric paste by their loved ones. The highlight of the function was when everyone present released yellow, white and blue balloons into the air all-together filling the sky above with beautiful colors that were so pleasing to the eye!
Mehndi
Brimming with the delightful traditions of Rajasthan, the vibrant Mehndi function was hosted in the courtyard below a canopy of colorful drapes. The festivities were filled with lively moments of joy, dance and much revelry as the rousing tunes of traditional musicians and singers filled the air. The bride twirled in a stunning teal lehenga while the groom stood out in an asymmetrical black sherwani for the occasion.
Sangeet
The Sangeet function was high on the glamour quotient with jewel toned décor and spirited performances on a glittering stage beneath a decadent canopy of green vines, disco balls and chandeliers. The couple and their loved ones got into their groove and danced the night away. The bride was the cynosure of all eyes in a scintillating wine lehenga while the groom looked dapper in a classic tuxedo.
Wedding
The evening nuptials brought the celebrations to a majestic conclusion with enchanting décor, heartfelt moments of love and family. The groom arrived in an exuberant baraat, while the bridal entry was accompanied by a sparkling display of fireworks. The couple looked divine in shimmering ensembles of blush and beige respectively. Ethereal décor of white lit up the poolside mandap, and as the couple exchanged the varmala, fireworks erupted surrounding the arresting moment in a cheery glow.
