Anuja Kanawade and Pranav Sahay, Beleza By The Beach, Goa
A sunflower-themed haldi, a neon sangeet and a serene floral wedding - this couple’s beachside wedding celebrations expressed the couple’s love for nature and new-age glam.
California-based Anuja Kanawade and Pranav Sahay tied the knot amidst lush greenery with a series of vibrant celebrations. Planning and designing the wedding was WeddingSutra Favorite – Janvi Dave Weddings & Events who with their creative flair orchestrated festivities that paved the way for cherished memories.
Wedding Planning
Janvi Dave from Janvi Dave Weddings & Events shares, “The couple left the majority of the decisions up to us. However, we did make it a point to discuss every detail with them beforehand. The couple was particularly keen on getting the smaller things right but the bigger part of the vision was handed over to us entirely.
When a couple places their trust completely in us, it ignites a sense of extra accountability and it is a pleasure to see everything come to life. We had complete creative liberty which also made the process extremely fun. Overall, the wedding was a delight with its various setups and rituals that were a blend of Maharashtrian and North India.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
Janvi shares, “For their first event the bride wanted a traditional yet modern look. And, looking at the venue we decided to incorporate a sunflowers theme as sunflowers have a bright sunshine yellow hue to it which fits perfectly for haldi. The venue had ample lush green fields and plants around it. As a result, the decor looked right at home – fresh and natural!”
Sangeet
Janvi shares, “For their sangeet, Anuja was ready to experiment and go blingy! We were given reference images of a ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ photoshoot and lavender was the color that dominated the palette. Neon hues were added to mix keeping in mind the designer label’s aesthetics.
The venue had a walking tunnel almost 100 feet long with lush green foliage all over it. We took the challenge of decorating not just for the sangeet but for the wedding too. We decorated the entire pathway with neon strip arches and vibrant theme light colours. The entire décor set up was custom-made and designed from scratch for the couple – be it the stage, the photo corner to the bar area.
Wedding
On the big day, nothing was left to chance as the team was on their toes right from the very beginning up until the end. Janvi shares, “For the sundowner wedding, we kept it earthy, and close to nature and incorporated the greenery that the venue offered in the décor set-up. Plus, this theme also went perfectly in tandem with the bride’s mint green wedding lehenga.
We chose a green-dominated floral theme with a tinge of white and pink florals to enhance the greens. Additionally, we also used many wooden structures to blend with the trees and the beautiful beach backdrop. The 100 ft long tunnel was re-decorated with pink and white roses and glass bowls with lights in it.
The bride had mentioned during our initial discussions that the groom had proposed to her on a hot air balloon. As an ode to this unique proposal, we tried to include elements of it everywhere. The Save the Date, E invite, and Itinerary had a hot air balloon design on them to commemorate their proposal. Plus, the wedding entrance tunnel had hot air balloon origami hangings along with fairy lights. The couple loved that and was pleasantly surprised to see how we executed their special moment on their special day.”
