Anukrit Dhanjal and Shubham Bhargava, Raffles Udaipur Resort
This couple indulged their whimsies with a lakeside Sikh wedding ceremony that sported a mandap designed with gypsos and pink roses.
High school sweethearts Anukrit Dhanjal and Shubham Bhargava took their first steps towards their ‘happily ever after’ with a luxurious destination wedding in Udaipur. The festivities featured unique themes that pushed the boundaries of innovation as WeddingSutra Favorite – Baraati Inc. planned the union.
Wedding Planning
Shweta Acharya and Shikha Chauhan from Baraati Inc. share, “The minimalist couple envisioned their wedding to be picture-perfect with subtle, classy, yet distinctive concepts. As the planning team, we were determined in our quest to be highly detailed. The smallest thing was executed with finesse and style. As a result, the wedding was a sleek celebration that honored the couple’s roots as well as their contemporary perspectives.”
Wedding Functions
Engagement
Keeping in mind Anukrit, a Sagittarius and Shubham, an Aquarius, the engagement event was enveloped in hues of gold, silver, and blues. The decor was meticulously adorned with celestial elements, resonating with the bride and groom’s affinity for the cosmos, celebrating their union in a space where love and cosmic wonder intertwined harmoniously.
Shweta adds, “Originating from a close-knit joint family background, the couple wanted to include everyone in the ring exchange ceremony. During this ceremonious affair, the ring traversed through the hands of each family member, for heartfelt blessings and well-wishes. This unique ritual, conceptualized by team Baraati Inc. added an extra layer of positivity to the couple’s special day.”
Haldi
Yellow, white and green gave the haldi ceremony a pristine look. The cheerful hues uplifted everyone’s spirits as they slathered the couple with haldi to get their pre-wedding glow on!
Sangeet
A wildflowers and birds-inspired theme set an enchanting atmosphere for the sangeet. The couple’s loved ones set the stage on fire with their energetic performances. Meanwhile, lush foliage, arches lit up by light bulbs and suspended acrylic birds transported everyone to a whimsical land.
Sikh and Hindu Wedding
The Sikh wedding ceremony took place by the lake where the guests could enjoy a stunning view of the hills. A whimsical wedding mandap adorned with clouds of gypsos contrasted against the light blue sky. Breezy baby pink drapes swayed with the wind and sheltered the guests as they witnessed the sacred ceremony.
Hindu Wedding
Next in line was the Hindu wedding ceremony where owing to the groom’s love for cars, Shubham selected two of his favorite cars to accompany his baraat. It was a stylish entrance as he rolled in with his crew with the boot of each car being transformed into a bar! The pheras took place in the evening underneath an elegant ivory mandap with comprehensive latticework.
