A tranquil golf course proved to be the perfect venue for Anuroop and Kabir's fun Punjabi wedding.
The journey from being strangers to life partners is always exciting, and Anuroop and Kabir’s story is no less. Their wedding was a grand four-day affair packed with traditional Punjabi customs, and stunning decor by WeddingSutra Favorite – Plush Events.
How They Met
Kabir, a Punjabi boy from Melbourne, and New Delhi-based Anuroop were introduced by their parents, and spent two years getting to know each other. They bonded over their love for their culture and similar outlooks toward life and love. They believe that a divine force brought them together. Anuroop says, ‘Kabir didn’t know much about our Delhi wedding madness that was to come, but soon he was immersed in all the action, flair and excitement.”
Wedding Venue
While deciding their wedding venue, the couple knew they wanted a serene location outside the confines of the city, and were overjoyed when they discovered Karma Lakelands which they found refreshing, romantic and tranquil. “We loved the idea of hosting a golf course wedding surrounded by thousands of trees, calm lakes and natural wildlife such as antelopes. Karma Lakelands had so much to offer! I bet no other place would have made me happier.”
Wedding Planning
“We wanted our wedding to be subtle and classy, and I can’t thank Plush Events enough for understanding our vision and executing it perfectly, while adding their own surprise elements to it. Starstruck Wedding Designers planned our wedding down to the T, from taking care of our overseas guests, to preparing customized welcome gifts and itineraries. Planning a wedding is never stress-free, but my experience was eased by finding all vendors through an app. I met my makeup expert for coffee after a small chat, and knew she was the one after a single meeting! I feel couples must really fall in love with all the vendors involved in the wedding because that’s when the magic happens.”
Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The mehendi night was a fun and casual poolside soiree where guests enjoyed games like beer pong. The bride looked radiant in a lemon and lavender embroidered lehenga with tassled sleeves which she teamed with dainty floral jewellery. The groom wore a white kurta set with a lemon bandi jacket.
Baraat Night
The baraat night was bling central with gorgeous decor, enthusiastic guests and the bride and groom resplendent in their regal attires. A titillating performance by band Nuur added to the fun factor of the evening.
Morning Pheras
The final ceremony was the Anand Karaj held at the Pahadiwala Gurudwara. The couple wore blush, grey and silver tones for this special occasion.
