This couple’s starlit garden-based cocktail party was a glamorous celebration featuring a melange of white, green and gold hues.
After twelve years of togetherness, Bhavika Aanand and Anshul Sharma took the plunge into marital bliss in style. Capturing them as they began their ‘happily ever after’ was WeddingSutra Favorite – Mohit Jaura Photography.
How They Met
Bhavika shares, “Anshul and I met in college during our undergraduate program. Anshul had just returned to India after living in Canada for the past 5 years. We were in the same class and during our orientation, Anshul and his friend were doing the rounds and introducing themselves to everyone else. Slowly, we started talking and his warmth and kindness won me over and we became friends. The friendship grew deeper over the next few weeks and we started dating in 2010. Fast forward to 2022 – we probably never said it in so many words but we knew we were soulmates. We lived together for a little over a year in Canada and Anshul popped the question under a gazebo overlooking a beautiful lake in -20 degrees in true Canadian style.”
Wedding Planning
Bhavika shares, “It was so easy breezy! Mohit Jaura Photography covered my best friend’s destination wedding at Tijara, Jaipur and the wedding teaser was the cutest thing I’d seen. That’s when I decided to work with them for my wedding. I’m also very particular about timings and they were extremely punctual. The wedding teaser moved everyone and the team also provided all the raw videos and images as I had asked. We would recommend them to my family and friends.”

Cocktail
With a ceiling filled with lights and white floral decor adorning the venues, the cocktail had everyone grooving late into the night. Bhavika shares, “For our cocktail, we knew we wanted to do it up in style. We chose a farm-based property with plenty of greenery. The food was delicious and the starlit sky added a certain glamour to the celebration.”
Wedding
Swathed in shades of white, green and pink – the wedding showcased the couple’s love for tradition with a modern edge. The wedding mandap with its white blooms and thikri work vases looked striking against the evening sky. The entryway also flaunted similar decor with white jasmine garlands suspended from the ceiling.
Advice For Couples
Bhavika shares, “Don’t forget to have fun through it all! Anshul and I planned our wedding from miles away sitting in Canada with the help and support of our families and friends – we both talked about how we wanted to be in the moment and enjoy it all – there will always be something that doesn’t go according to plan, just let it go and go with the flow to enjoy your big day.”
