Christina and Franswa vowed to be partners in crime for life in an intimate ceremony held in Goa with their loved ones. The memorable moments of their beguiling lakefront celebration were frozen in frames for eternity by the award-winning team of WeddingSutra Favorite – House On The Clouds. How they met
While Franswa hails from Mangalore, and Christina from Mumbai, the couple crossed paths while working in Dubai. “My profile caught Franswa’s attention so much that he sought me out on Facebook to get to know me. Even though I never respond to strangers, I felt strangely drawn towards him and wanted to know more about him. Little did I know he would become my husband just 3 years down the line.” smiles Christina.

The Proposal
The bride reminisces as she says, “We both love to travel and consciously plan at least 3 trips a year. It was that moment during one of our trips to Turkey, when we were soaring in a hot air balloon looking down at the unbelievable vistas far below, that he went down on one knee and popped the question to me. My ‘yes’ was instantaneous and so emphatic. I feel blessed to have found someone who not only loves me unconditionally, but also inspires me every day to be the best version of myself”.

Wedding Venue
“When we started hunting for the perfect venue, we knew we wanted just one big party with all our loved ones. And while we wanted something unique that defined ‘us’, we also wanted to respect our traditions. The beautiful lake facing Penha De Franca Church in Goa was the perfect choice for our grand but intimate wedding celebration of 150 guests.” the bride shared.

Wedding Planning
The bride shares, “Franswa and I planned our entire wedding from start to finish. Goa based KV decor executed our vision to perfection, while the band ‘Brothers in Arms’ made our night memorable. Sukanya of ‘Makeovers by Sukanya’ gave me the perfect visage to complement my gown. Every moment of our ceremony as well as our reception celebrations were captured in vivid details in frames and films by the incredible team of House On The Clouds.”

Wedding and Reception
The wedding and reception festivities were hosted at the beautiful lakefront venue of Penha De Franca Church. Their family and friends were hosted at the nearby Pinto Rosario Resort and Casa Brittona. The rustic chic décor included myriad wooden elements and lush foliage that added a touch of bohemian charm to the romantic dusty rose and burgundy color palette. Freshly brewed filter coffee and succulents were given to the guests as favors. The night saw an abundance of fun as everyone hit the dance floor after the couple’s first dance and boogied the night away. The quirky bride opted for Michael Kors sneakers to get down and shake a pretty leg. The couple donned custom-made outfits that were created as per their choice in Dubai. The bride accessorized her gown with sparkling Swarovski earrings.

Advice for couples
“While it is important to allow enough time to plan your wedding perfectly down to the last detail, it’s best to space it out after zeroing down the important aspects like venue etc. first and foremost, and then leave the rest for a little later, as many aspects end up changing over the planning period. Do not get overwhelmed with the stress and also remember to pamper yourselves and enjoy your togetherness. At the end of the day, your wedding is about the two of you”.
