Darshini and Arpit’s nuptials were a meticulously planned celebration that was high on emotions entertainment and elegance. Photographing the precious moments was the talented team of WeddingSutra Favorite – Phototantra. On the decor front, WeddingSutra Favorite – Amaahyaaj raised the bar with their gorgeous decor at the reception and after-party. Bride Darshini shares some highlights of the celebrations below.
How They Met
“I met Arpit through a family friend, and from our first meeting itself, we got along very well and conversation flowed smoothly between us. After a few more dates, we knew something special was brewing between us and decided to take the plunge. The rest, as they say, is history as our parents met each other, and then, there was no looking back.”
Wedding Planning
Understanding the intricacies of executing a wedding with a large family in attendance, Darshini and Arpit decided to book a team of reliable vendors such as Phototantra to capture all their special moments. The couple shares, “Working with Phototantra was a delightful experience as they were extremely organized, dedicated, and co-operative in every way. Their team never made us feel aware of the lenses and the rapport we shared with them put us at ease!”
The duo also chose Amaahyaaj for their reception as well as after-party decor setups that included, crystal chandeliers and lush foliage.
Adding to the team were Milan Decorators, photographers Snapper Studio, makeup artists Ulupi Parikh and Expressions by Niyati along with entertainers RDB and Manj Musik.
Weddings Functions
Cocktail
The duo chose to host their cocktail party in Mumbai where they enjoyed an evening packed with glitz and fun with their loved ones. Looking like a diva in a metallic red off-shoulder gown, Darshini was the showstopper while Arpit complemented her in a dark green suit.
Mehndi
Hosted in two parts – one for the groom’s side and the other for the bride – the mehndi functions were a close-knit affair where family members celebrated the impending nuptials with upbeat dance performances and music.
For Arpit, the mehndi was a traditional event held at his residence where his family flawlessly performed dance routines to celebrate the new chapter in his life. However, for Darshini, this function was a grand one with colorful outdoor decor that consisted of a peacock crafted out of flowers. There was also a live drummer, DJ, nail art stall, and bangle making sessions to keep ladies entertained. Guests also enjoyed playing games like giant Jenga and having their future predicted at a parrot card reading stall.
Wedding
“With its vast lawns, the wedding venue allowed our creativity to run free and we ensured that everything looked perfect. Our vision included an artful mix of modern and traditional elements which were executed very well! All in all, my wedding was one of the most magical moments of my life.”
Reception
“The reception was hosted in Baroda, and it was a glamorous event that impressed our guests. Replete with chandeliers, floral, and lush foliage, the venue looked straight out of a dream. Adding to the magical vibe were enchanting tunes played by a band of violinists.”
After Party
“The after-party also doubled up as a sangeet for all of us, and in order to set the mood right, we decided to go with decor that put everyone in a mood to party. With LED screens on all sides giving the venue a club-like feel and Punjabi entertainers RDB and Manj Musik belting out their best tunes, it was an unforgettable event which our guests still reminisce about.”
