Wedding Planning
Akansh Jain and Himanshu Kothari of Weddingz by Mindz share, “From the very outset, Darshini and Sourabh envisioned a wedding that was not only grand in scale but deeply personal in emotion. They came to us with a dream, one that celebrated their journey through thoughtfully designed experiences, immersive storytelling, and heartfelt moments. Each function was an ode to who they are, weaving together their professions, passions, and personalities with elegance and flair. It was a joy to bring their vision to life, blending tradition with contemporary touches—from awe-inspiring entries to soul-stirring rituals. Watching their story unfold across those unforgettable days was truly a privilege, and we’re honored to have been a part of their once-in-a-lifetime celebration.”
Sowmya and Sakthi of PetalsNDrapes add, “For us, design is storytelling. Every event was crafted with intention, symbolism, and emotional resonance, ensuring the décor was never just ornamental but a reflection of the couple’s identities.” Echoing this sentiment, the couple shared, “The décor was straight out of a dream. The design team transformed our venue into something magical with so much creativity and warmth. Every detail was pure perfection.”

Wedding Functions
Sangeet
The Sangeet unfolded as a high-energy spectacle inspired by the atmosphere of global music festivals. Akansh and Himanshu share, “Darshini and Sourabh’s Sangeet was a high-voltage celebration inspired by a Music Fest theme. With a towering 24-foot stage, dramatic fire effects, and show-stopping performances. The evening featured a grand entry, a spectacular sword cake-cutting, and unforgettable moments that perfectly captured the couple’s vibrant spirit.”
The design team elevated this vision with a Tomorrowland-inspired structure. This 24-foot cave-like installation glowed from within, creating the illusion of a concert arena on the beaches of Chennai. Despite heavy winds, uneven lawns, and the need for swift on-site assembly, their production teams engineered a set that was both sturdy and transportable, supported by extensive scaffolding. The result was a visually striking, high-energy environment that left guests feeling like they were part of a global festival.

Carnival & Haldi
Akansh and Himanshu share, “The ‘Around the World Carnival’ was a burst of vibrant energy and personal touches. From Darshini and Sourabh’s ATV entry to the custom décor inspired by their professions, every element was thoughtfully curated.” What began as a high-spirited carnival gradually transitioned into an evocative haldi experience, retaining the same design language while deepening the emotional resonance.
The haldi segment was envisioned as an artistic blend of science, creativity, and emotion—an immersive canvas that reflected both the bride’s medical background and the groom’s design roots. Sowmya and Sakthi share, “This décor intertwined artistry and science, blending personal elements into a tapestry of love, dedication, and beautifully stitched destinies.” Subtle medical motifs, design-inspired details, and thoughtful references to the couple’s love for travel and books transformed this combined celebration into a vivid expression of their shared story.

Wedding & Reception
Akansh and Himanshu share, “Darshini and Sourabh’s wedding was a seamless blend of grandeur and emotion. The vibrant baraat, royal swagat, and cinematic varmala set a majestic tone, with Sourabh arriving on a regal chariot and Darshini making a breathtaking entry from a two-storeyed stage, framed by dancers and dramatic lighting. As fireworks lit up the sky and music soared, their garland exchange became a moment of pure magic.”
This dramatic varmala unfolded within the same palatial setup that later transitioned into their reception—a spectacular two-storey façade inspired by timeless European architecture. Designed with arched colonnades, an elegant double staircase, and refined ornamental detailing, the structure was envisioned as a single immersive world that carried the celebration from ritual to revelry. A soft white palette set an ethereal foundation, while mauve and plum florals cascaded along balconies and balustrades, adding depth without overwhelming the classic symmetry. Sowmya and Sakthi share, “This set was crafted as a visual metaphor, a palace not built of stone alone, but of two individuals who bring together creativity and grace.” The integrated layout also featured a specially designed varmala pathway that ensured controlled access and a dramatic, seamless entry—allowing the couple’s celebratory moments to flow effortlessly within one grand, unified space.
