A Celebration of Two Cultures, One Beautiful Story
Disha Kothari, a Marwari bride, and Gino Raphael DCruz, a Catholic groom, had a simple vision for their wedding. They wanted a celebration that honored both their cultures and stayed true to who they were as a couple—warm, relaxed, and focused on genuine emotions rather than spectacle. WeddingSutra Favorite – Marrygold WCE brought this vision to life in an elegant celebration that centered around love.

Wedding Planning
Ashique Palakkodan of Marrygold WCE says, “The couple’s brief was clear: no over-the-top showmanship, no rigid programming, and no wedding where guests were merely spectators. Instead, they envisioned celebrations where everyone could connect, mingle, laugh, and truly feel part of the experience. By focusing on genuine moments, meaningful traditions, and interactive celebrations, the wedding reflected exactly what the couple had hoped for—a series of experiences that felt authentic, joyful, and unforgettable for everyone present.”
Wedding Functions
Sangeet
Hosted at the charming terrace venue Jade Gardens, the Sangeet evening was designed as an immersive carnival-style experience rather than a performance-led function.
Guests arrived to an atmosphere filled with lively energy, where they could wander through interactive game stations, enjoy fun activities, click pictures, and casually mingle with the couple. The focus was on creating a relaxed social setting where conversations flowed easily and guests from both families could connect naturally.
As the evening unfolded, the carnival vibe seamlessly transitioned into a more traditional Sangeet celebration. Heartfelt family performances brought everyone together, while the dance floor came alive with a carefully curated mix of Bollywood and English music.

Marwari Wedding
The Marwari wedding celebration was a vibrant affair filled with energy, color, and heartfelt traditions.
One of the most memorable moments was the joint baraat, where the bride and groom arrived together in a spirited procession. Accompanied by energetic beats from a DJ, colorful flags waving in the air, and family members dancing with abandon, the baraat set the tone for a celebration that was truly about togetherness.
The ceremony that followed struck a beautiful balance between intimacy and grandeur. The groom made a simple yet elegant entry, while the bride walked in with her family, creating an emotional moment before the varmala ceremony.

Church Ceremony
Honoring Gino’s Catholic roots, the celebrations also included a beautiful church wedding that embraced timeless elegance.
The ceremony unfolded with graceful simplicity—the bride walking down the aisle preceded by little flower girls and bridesmaids, while the groom entered with his parents. Surrounded by loved ones, the couple exchanged vows and sealed their commitment with a heartfelt “I do”.
The ceremony was designed to feel modern, elegant, and deeply personal, allowing the emotion of the moment to take center stage.
