Wedding Planning
A new-age, fiercely independent couple Divya and Jatin decided to finance their wedding by themselves. Divya shares, “It was initially a challenge to convince our parents but our vision prevailed. Our objectives for the wedding were:
1. To maintain simplicity and minimalism in all aspects.
2. To create an intimate atmosphere by inviting only close family and friends.
3. To steer clear of plastic decorations.
4. To prioritize enjoyment and celebration throughout the wedding.
5. To ensure comfort and quality of stay for our guests.
Keeping these pointers in mind, we started scouting for our wedding vendors who would help us bring our vision to life.”
To plan their wedding, the couple chose One Point Wedding who ensured the couple had a gala time as they hosted the 100-150 guestlist wedding. Divya shares, “One Point Wedding played a pivotal role in orchestrating the wedding. Despite being based in Bangalore and the event taking place in Noida, they efficiently managed every aspect, from running errands to handling last-minute adjustments. We are immensely grateful for their meticulous attention to detail and unwavering support in ensuring that every minute element of the wedding was taken care of.” Designing the wedding was Decor By Komal who impressed the duo with their proactive approach. An impressed Divya shares, “We were deeply moved by the team at Decor By Komal’s thoughtful and accommodating approach. They attentively listened to every single requirement and consistently displayed a remarkable level of attention to detail. They were open to feedback and discussed progress at every stage.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Divya shares, “The mehendi celebration embraced a whimsical floral theme, evoking the charm of a natural garden setting. As the first event of our wedding festivities, it served as a warm welcome for our guests and an opportunity for both families to meet and greet. Instead of traditional gifts, we curated unique counters for our wedding guests. Stainless steel straws and head massagers were offered as thoughtful return gifts, elegantly displayed on charming carts. For the ladies in our family, we arranged live bangle counters, adding a touch of grace and beauty to the occasion. To infuse the mehendi with a spirit of joy and playfulness, we also set up a ‘shoot the balloon’ counter where the guests were kept engaged.”
Sangeet
“The evening celebrations for the Sangeet and engagement were infused with a glamorous green theme, setting the stage for a night of non-stop dancing and boundless fun. The goal was to keep the atmosphere lively and joyous, encouraging both families to laugh, revel, and move to the infectious rhythm of celebration. Given my Bihari heritage, my family delighted in dancing to our favourite Bihari songs, creating an atmosphere of unlimited joy and merriment. The experience was truly surreal, bringing together loved ones in a night filled with unforgettable moments and cherished memories”, recollects Divya.
Haldi
The following morning, the couple celebrated the haldi ceremony with a vibrant orange bliss theme by the poolside on the terrace. Recollecting the fun moments of the event, Divya says, “We danced enthusiastically, immersing ourselves in haldi and flowers, sharing plenty of warm embraces, tears, and kisses. A nostalgic 90s-themed candy counter featuring a delightful assortment of candies delighted our guests and sparked a wave of nostalgia.”
Wedding
Divya shares, “The color scheme for the wedding was a serene combination of ivory and green, exuding simplicity and elegance. To create a surreal ambience at the event, we requested our guests to wear outfits in either ivory or red. Floral decor was prominently used with a large arch adorned by foliage punctuating our varmala moment and suspended blooms over the wedding mandap.”
